Well, I had some guests from overseas and their request was hotpot for dinner.Instantly my brain ordered me to book tai fung lau at tsim sha tsui.Like always very crowded with noisy customers and staffs atmosphere, which i love when coming here.Already livin in hk for quite sometime now, one of my favorite place for a good dine.Ordered the half portion duck and the pot with plenty of lamb meat with of course with some veggies and some dragon style fish balls.The duck not the crisp type but plenty of meat, my guests sure did enjoyed it very much. Before went to one of their branch in wan chai,had a ok experience there so i figured it will be ok to take my family out for lunch at taihang branch.today myself had the bacon burger set, my wife the mushroom burger set, my kids splitted the roast beef one.the burgers were ok. i suppose.the fries sucked totally. it wasnt crispy at all.toooo soggy.figuring about the same price range to mos burger, we should have went there which was closer to our home.they didnt have stock of the onion rings nor the milk shakes.it was still little passed 1pm.Please somebody of triple os quality control center please give them a good quality control check up.very very upset with there lunch experience, shouldve went to the thai or a vietnamese restaurant or piccolo pizza close there.thanks triple os taihang for a crappy service and for your welcoming heart which we never felt:)! will never go there.macdonalds are much better.…Read More

One of my favorite places for a hot pot. Even though it's inside Time square, not so costly and very very clean. Our family ended up with super full tummy.We had the shrimp dim sum (full of small, not tiny yummy shrimps) and the leek dumplings, Japanese style vegis,  fried and the wet bean curd sheets, and the fresh beef which was excellent (not to much into the marble type, love the normal beef) on a 'normal' 清湯 soup.The XO sauces / garlic / green onions / chili / etc of course were clean (but I want the　芝麻酱　but not inside the tray... I wonder if I've asked they had any...) and I really do love the atmosphere there. The staffs are very very friendly with my very very poor Chinese, and we really did enjoy for a really delicious hot pot.Definately will be there again soon.Thanks  Budaoweng!!I always have the normal清湯broth but does anybody have other recommendations??…Read More

I think this was my last ramen joint in Hk island where they serve proper Japanese ramen.(not those Japanese "style" crap).I gotta say, it is quite costly for a Lunch of 水 or 金 set  ...Had their signal dish "kogashi miso ramen" w/金set of the fried chicken.Considering the ramen a little too oily (which I'm not complaing, I like it very much) , my opinion is they should just serve the normal style kara-age rather than mixing it upwith mayo-chilli oil (although it came in very very very small 3pcs). I should have ordered the set that comes with the sushi.And 20hkd per kae-dama(加麺) and 20hkd for drinks, gotta say, it is a little bullsh1t(and yes, I know its inside IFC).Well, will I ever go again? I found this place just a few weeks ago. Didnt knew they had the cumin spice lamb skewers at hk island side.I know some places in sham shui po but since my home and office is in hk side felt relived that they have it here.The lamb meat is not the chewy type, more soft type. Really delicious.I cant speak Cantonese nor pu tong hwabut one staff can speak English so no worries.I love it here:)…Read More
