今日兩大兩小到九龍城午餐。見聯發人龍,便隨意選一間附近嘅餐廳。見呢間High Five 幾企理又有位(入去時只有一對父子客),於是入內。午市套餐大概6款左右,包括咖哩煎雞扒,意大利飯及兩款煎魚,等等。我哋叫兩個雞扒午餐及 À la carte 散叫一份 carbonara 意粉。叫餐時侍應哥哥話其中一款魚無。同時間聽到僯枱女仕叫肉醬意粉。侍應哥哥話未有肉醬(?!)。那女仕放棄幫襯走咗。本來心中感到此餐廳好似未 ready 就開門做生意,不過見已落 order 就即管留下。等咗一陣,兩個套餐嘅 green salad 就到。見到d沙律菜啡黃色,入口偏酸,以為太多醋。叫侍應哥哥更換其中一碗未食嘅。他再拿來一碗未加 dressing 嘅 salad 同另上一小碟olive oil 加 vinegar。此安排原本算頗貼心。點知原來d淨菜本身已變啡黄,而並非由dressing 所致。實在令人倒胃。之後,等了成10 分鐘才上套餐嘅黑松露磨菇湯。自問在其他西餐廳吃過很多次這湯,但從未見過如此深色嘅磿菇湯。入口帶些酸,可能又加咗黑醋。黑松露味? 唔係好聞到有。跟住再等好耐才上carbonara 同一份煎雞扒飯。首先,那散叫一碟要$148 嘅意粉,份量只有一個握拳大小,侍應哥哥之前仲強調餐廳無carbonara “醃肉” (?!) 所以改用煙肉(恕我孤漏寡聞,我一直以為carbonara 通常用煙肉)。眼前此“別注版” carbonara 除咗size 極細之外,仲係只有頗乾嘅意粉上鋪上幾條煙肉絲。小孩無嘜要求照食。但食哂成個都唔夠飽! 至於那個所謂"香煎雞扒咖啡飯”,那塊細過 iphone 嘅雞扒係炸到乾嘅。那圍邊嘅深啡色(又喺深啡色!?) 微温又"傑" 嘅 curry 汁味道像超市的盒裝日式咖哩磚。但可能厨師砲製後,味道竟比現成咖哩磚更差。良久,第二份套餐嘅雞扒未上,於是問侍應哥哥。他入厨房後出來話原來漏單(?!咁點解之前又識上兩份沙律同湯嘅?)。更奇怪是侍應哥哥連甚本行貨咁講聲唔好意思都無!實在唔想再花多20 分鐘等那味如乾柴嘅雞扒。於是結帳。侍應哥哥今次好快,只叫話唔收咭,但無提醒我哋未上套餐甜品。我見此餐廳好似新開,樓面,水吧及厨都係年輕人,甘冒被認為old seafood 之險,想給兩句忠告。 carbonara 及雞扒水準我已不提因明白口味因人而異。但沙律菜明顯過唔到關。於是對正向在我哋收錢嘅哥哥輕輕提示仍在枱上嘅沙律菜唔掂 (係! 前菜沙律及已喝完嘅湯碟仍未收! )。點知那哥哥半點歉意甚至acknowlege 都無,面上帶點不耐煩嘅似笑非笑。走後看住那$390 嘅單(1 個午餐,1個意粉,1杯咖啡,1杯鮮奶,1杯soda), 唔係憤怒,而係無奈。唔知點解香港以家頗多餐廳都物非所值,且服務欠奉。如果呢間餐廳真係店內果幾位年輕人開嘅,真希望佢哋能認真檢討改善。…Read More

有朋友推介話此店牛肉好得。於是,上星期六晚booked咗4位6点。入到大坑内街,不容易找到此店,因為門口小及不顯眼。坐低後問店員有嘜推介,佢就推“厨師精選牛肉拼盤“,是5種不同部位牛肉各數片,然後推海鮮貝類,但我哋話不好海鮮想先食牛拼盤然後再追加散叫拼盤中我哋鍾意嘅牛肉。侍應姐姐一聽即提高聲調話價价$540嘅拼盤每種牛只有3片,不夠4個人分(其實我哋當中有小孩),話要加$180才每種每人一件。雖然我有d奇怪為何隣桌又係4位又叫同樣拼盤,点解不用加大。可能佢哋同時又叫酒,海鮮,而我哋只先叫拼盤(我地已同侍應講好食會追加), 侍應怕唔夠數或者真怕我哋唔夠食吧!?等咗大約15分鐘,牛拼盤上,值$720,只有共20片大約名片大細慨肉,當中只有牛肩是大概半吋厚切,其他都是正常薄切。侍應姐姐放下肉及大概講吓燒烤次就走關。我哋唯有自己動手。但火大猛,就算先烧最多油脂的肉都易焦及黏網。而且,其實我哋有小孩同桌都有d驚火太猛。當未食完拼盤時,我哋再叫幾碟肉($180-300+,有d只有4小片,有d係手掌size一塊一碟)。今次侍應姐姐殷勤多了,交細小小個火又幫我地燒,另外見到比我哋遲入嘅隣桌由第一碟拼盤開始已有waiter 幫烧...其實,咁嘅價錢同規定顧客要8点還枱,侍應幫顧客燒烤理應正常。。。最後賣單,没有酒水也要差唔多2千3。雖然,不太滿意,但自己一向都額外在加一之上再比tips。這次比咗15%。但侍應連一句多谢都無。老實講,此店牛肉質素好,但性價比太低!…Read More

Have known about this bar/restaurant from magazines and been attracted by its special decor. Have not got a chance to visit until recently...A friend of mine and I had lunch there last week. We were lucky that even though it's lunch hour in Wanchai area, we could just walk in and got a table.  Ordered two sets of lunch and it took around 15 mins -- sort okay waiting time for set lunch.  When we were waiting, we observed the designs and decoration, which supposed to be the key selling point of this bar / restaurant.  Frankly, the overall style and design is just so so and not as special as described by some magazines.  In fact, similar designs and themes have been seen in other restaurants.  The vintage or so-called antique stuff are not that special and inconsistent in terms of timing, making the theme of the shop unclear. Back to the food, as the dishes that we ordered were so common, we had expected the quality should not be bad.  However, we were wrong.  The soup was lukewarm and the taste was too salty.  The spagetti was over-cooked -- too soft.  The shrimps were tastless with texture liked rubber gum.  Services was also not good.  Although the shop was not very full and the waitresses were not that busy, they ignored us when we tried to ask for their servicesAt the end, we finished our lunch in rush and left Tai Lung Fung with disappointment -- no next time!…Read More

Wesmcl I think this is a review for the restaurant in Central, not the bar in Wan Chai, which isn't open at lunch and doesn't have set meals.
