Fatties Diner is the latest F&B entrant in Tai Hang serving up Classic American style stacking pancakes 🥞 , trending croffle 🧇 and devilish milkshakes 🥤 . The cheesy messy pancakes consists of a cheese filling pancakes, sandwiched with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and topped with bacon bites, the dish of course had to go with bacon's best friend - maple syrup. The pancakes were pretty filling, especially how its filled with melted cheese.The croffle filling is shredded chicken seasoned with lime cooked with onion and mushroom, rich flavours. Had to order a sinful milkshake to complete the full Fatties Diner meal, opted for the Kinder Bueno and Fattie Cookie Chip milkshake, each shake is served and presented differently each time. Personally, I'd recommend visiting them for the classic American style buttermilk pancake, their pancakes are made to order (25-30mins), just factor that in, but is worth the wait, the pancakes are made with 3.6 Hokkaido milk, which boasts a distinct smoothness and provides extra fluffiness. MASAM a primary takeout burger joint has recently relocated to a new home in Yuen Long, keeping its eye-catching logo with proper dine-in. Went for the Foie Gras beef burger, which was humongous in size! The burger bun was buttered before placing for a quick grill on the hot plate, the beef patty was super juicy and tender, not to mention the butteriness that from the thick piece of foie gras. This burger combo is certainly not something new (think Burger Room), but has been made to really sort out my burger crave! The soft shell crab burger on the other hand was more innovative, complemented with the Hong Kong style soft scrambled egg, which leaves the egg slightly runny, and sauced with mayonnaise. Need not worry for getting your hands dirty, gloves are provided. First visit at the Casual fine dining eatery Le ChefeteriaFor the soup, we opted for the signature lobster bisque, no doubts why its one of its signatures, the soup was prepped with coconut meat and milk acting as a natural thickening agent, which was extremely intense in taste but doesn't leave you thirsty afterwards. We were suggested to enjoy the soup as is and savouring its original taste first before mixing it with the avocado mousse and lemon citric dressing, which added character to the soup for sure.The pasta, optional for an additional HK$98. but pretty bang for the buck, in fact it was my fav dish! The housemade pesto sauce, made with Italian pesto, plenty of pine nuts, and extra virgin oil was sensational and the fact that avocado enhanced the flavours and created extra depth with the dish🤩Duck confit was paired with a tomato confit risotto, laying on top of crispy rice paper roll, an ingredient widely used in Vietnamese cooking, which also was a former colony of France, hence adopted by Chef Azmi for part of the dish composition. The smoky Argentine Black Angus Beef tenderloin was quite good too, served with beef jus, mousseline potato, pickled veggie. Babacio on Wyndtham Street has been a long-standing popular pizzeria amongst locals for their yummy pizzas and handmade pasta. After 2 years of operation, they have opened a new casual eatery in Lan Kwai Fong at the beginning of April.Loved the Caprese saiad 🌿🍅🧀, the burrata was super duper creamy. Size is perfect for 2. The Pomalora pasta 🍝 was also impeccable, the handmade eggy pasta absorbed Tuscan tomato sauce, with the perfect al dente texture 💯. I also asked for chilli oil for some extra kick.The pizza 🍕, also Babacio’s signature was undeniably good, Boscaiola comprises of mushroom 🍄, cooked ham 🐷, and bufala 🧀, ie. Mozzarella, the crust was fantastic, the pillowy and chewy in one, as well as the cheese-loaded base 🤤.The gelato 🍨 brought the meal to a high note. The chocolate flavour was really intense, it was rich and super indulging, whilst the pistachio has a hint of umami to it, but it wasn’t too overwhelming, enjoyed it to bits! Ima is the sister cafe of Good Day Coffee, whom has made their mark with their very evil yet delicious cookies 🍪 and stunning Basque burnt cheesecake 🍰. This time, to cater to the theme of Japanese vibes, Good Day Coffee has rebranded slightly. The food offering remains similar to the original in Jordan.The unassuming Genmaicha Basque burnt cheesecake was pillowy and very light in texture, it was scrumptious!! And the tea taste was delicate. The cake wouldn’t leave you feeling super guilty!The cucumber 🥒 latte was their signature, a subtle cucumber taste really sent forth to the tip of tongue when you sip in the coffee. Picked out this spacious Indian 🇮🇳 tandoor house for lunch lately, the 3 course lunch set covers all the meat and vegetarian options. We tried out the Keema Pav, Samosa, Old Delhi Butter Chicken and Lamb Shank Nalli Nihari.Portions really exceeded our expectations, the Keema Pav was served in a metalware that’s the size they serve their curry mains! It also came with soft buttered bread roll which was insanely good, the bread was warm and buttered throughout, and the keema topped it when completed with the chopped onions and a squeeze of fresh lime juice 🍋 
Samosa was delectable too! Not sure how you guys eat it, I normally go around the edges and then eat the centre, the fillings were super flavourful and tangy.
The butter chicken 🥘🐔could have come with a bit spice, but as a dip for the naan, the taste was prominent and intense, the lamb shank on the other hand and a more watery consistency, which I personally is more skeptical of, I think the thinks custardy texture. But the meat just fell off the bone, just the way it should be! The meat was super tender and succulent. Meanwhile, the garlic naan 🫓 was also infallible, it was truly delicious. 
Dessert was fixed - Ras Malai, a traditional Indian dessert. It looked like an ice cream but after treat, it really didn’t tickle our tastes buds. The milky sponge tasted like a soggy sponge drenched in a watery condensed milk, not the keenest.But generally the place offers a really good space to catch up, the tables are pretty spread out and the hospitality was really good, the staff made the effort to gather our feedback.…查看更多

Suits 2.0 has opened on Jervois Street at the end of last year, they had taken a short break in the past few weeks and have reopened its doors on 1 April 2022. This place a a huge store storefront with massive ceiling to floor glass windows, for great natural lighting. Tried out its latte, which offers a selection of 2 S.O. beans - Brazilian and Ethiopian, chose the latte which offers a more fruity note, and to pair the coffee I’ve also picked a petit four - lemon cake, which drew my attention at the display cabinet.All their pastries are prepped and made in the restaurant. And the lemon cake was one of the newest additions, and I was one of their first customers to trial it out! How lucky😝!The tangy lemon cake was super moist with a slightly dense texture, and was enhanced by the use of Kombu for a more earthy and umami note, the contrast of taste was pretty intriguing with some crumble bits. The moment we stepped into the bistro, it felt like we were transported to France❤️❤️, those little bistro that prompts cosiness - the whole ambience speaks French.There were 2 things I wanted to try prior visiting - beef tartare 🥩 and the duck 🦆. Meanwhile, left it to the waitress to recommend the rest, we eventually tried the chicken liver and hamachi 🐟.
The chicken liver was creamy and super buttery.The steak tartare was phenomenal, the excitement ignites the moment the dish is served and you break the yolk. The mustard accentuated the beef, and matched perfectly with the capers. Hamachi was presented in a very neat and tidy way and finished plenty of garnish. Decent dish with a some refreshing avocado mash and radish which created a complex yet intriguing sensation.The duck was exceptional! The pale pinkish flesh that renders medium rare, secured just the right amount of cooking. The duck was tender inside out, the bright citrus sauce was complimented the sweetness of the duck and the carrot puree that topped it all off 🔥After all them dishes, was too full to even try the Madeleine, hope to return soon to try some of their freshly baked goodies.…查看更多

Rajasthan Rifles is the dining concepts which mashes up 2 distinctive cultures - Anglo-Indian, aiming to recreate what would have been the scenes of the armies during the war period. This Black Sheep Restaurant is not like anything I've seen in HK before.Upon arrival, the officers will greet you amiably, the vibes is certainly chilled and relaxing (we visited on New Years Day). I easily picked out of the first thing that caught my eye - the Rifles Roll and the Masala Maumlet 🍳.The rifles rolls 🌯 comes with 3 types of fillings: a) bacon and honey 🥓🍯b) sausage and crushed peppercorn 🌭c) three fried eggs 🍳d) a combination of fillings - I picked out d) with sausage and fried eggs. The tandoor-baked was a dream! The abundance of variety of flavours from the tomato chutney and grated spicy cheese 🧀. I love this dish, it's something new for a change from the usual breakfast items such as avocado toasts that's easy to get elsewhere.The masala maumlet is an Indian-inspired omelette, with plenty of chopped onions 🧅, coriander 🌿, tomato 🍅 and green chillies 🫑🧄. Again, this vegetarian omelette was so refreshing, and the use of the coriander really elevated the taste, and lifted the dish.Unfortunately, I missed out that they do chai masala latte ☕️, which I love. CAFFE MILANI, one of the Italian coffee shops ☕️ has opened its first overseas shop in Hong Kong alongside Pasticceria Giovanni Pina, the Italian pastry shop named after the pastry chef Giovanni Pina 👨🏻‍🍳 in 2020.This particular Caffe Milani opened in Feb 2021, at Times Square is the perfect location for a rest after a long day of shopping. More of a grab and go and light bites concept, with approx. 20-30 seats catering to dine in with a tinted orange sofa and till design and light creamy beige undertone across the shop design 🤍🧡Amongst the dozen of cakes available, Sachetorte, the cake covered in dark chocolate icing and filled with apricot jam bad attractive me most. The chocolate sponge cake was moist and layered with rich chocolate with a kick of white rum, as supposed to the traditional black rum commonly used in Austria, and refreshing apricot jam. And the inner layer, the chocolate sponge also soaked up the apricot jam, not too soggy, get it has softened up the cake from the moist 😍😍😍. The latte wasn’t really to my liking , the espresso was too strong and tasted a bit burnt 😕, but I like how to come with a sweet treat you find at most authentic Italian coffee shops. Here, you’re given a butter cookie 🧈Also picked up a pistachio croissant, huge size! It come with a lovely pistachio cream, and a buttery dough, but the crisp didn’t last overnight. Located on one the main street of Happy Valley, Little Lucie's which opened in September last year had been one of the cafes I've been longing to try, especially with loved one. I was particularly drawn by its pastel green theme, it really is a breathe of fresh airRicotta hotcakes are not to be missed! Definitely pleasing to the eye as well as the palate - three thick stacks of light and fluffy hotcakes 🥞 held up quite well and was served with fresh fruit, maple syrup 🍯 and creamy ricotta.The toastie was another hearty brunch option, asked the staff to spread some vegemite for flavour enhancement 🤪. BRAVA JAVA officially started running business on 24 Jan, serving light refreshments 🍞🥐 as well as all day breakfast and sweet treats 🥯🧁. The Brava brunchin was huge and composes of smoked salmon, avocado, baked beans, scrambled eggs, roasted potato, grilled tomato, portobello mushroom, and half a slice of toasted bagel. The bagel had the right consistency and the sides were all very fresh and goes well for a DIY bagel. It also provides the option of topping up with extra items, as depicted in the menu.Yogurt option is definitely for those looking for a detox, the yogurt decorated with sliced fresh fruit 🍓🫐🍌and muesli is fuelled with fibre and vitamin, and glazed with honey. Really enjoyed this yogurt bowl, certainly good for gut health and super nutritious 🤩🤩.For latte, you get to choose between the nutty/fruity, the mouthfeel certainly feels hazelnut like, with a toasted and crunchy taste profile, a great coffee! Meanwhile the matcha latte is made of Marukyu Koyamaen matcha powder🍵, the taste was good and frothy, but perhaps the whisking wasn’t enough, there was little lumps of matcha powder that sunk.To wrap things up, we also had a roll cake - a mini shot of Bailey is essential to give the roll cake some booze. With dine in after 6pm being off the table, we need to make better use of the dine-in chances!MOZY is the representation of day time (M) coffee (O), all the way to night time (Z) cocktail (Y) and wine, intended as a place for customers to chill and relax both day and night time. This place just evokes a sense of buzzing and cosy vibes.The MOZY brunch picks out light bites from day and canapés from night to form this wonderful brunch platter to share🙌🏼. The whole presentation was wow, fascinated by how the food was served🥰. Food wise, I love the foie gras pate toast with balsamic fig sauce, a velvety rich pate with an acidic sauce, voila. The fried rice paper risotto was very interested in texture. The black truffle scrabbled egg comes in a lovely creamy consistency, and the fresh fruit bowl was a bonus to the mostly savoury-dominated brunch.To cap off the meal, we also ordered an oat milk latte and hand drip ☕️ . The Ethiopian bean casted a really floral note and the aftertaste certainly tasted like a cup of fresh brewed tea! If you’re unsure of what speciality coffee to get, certainly consult the barista, and they will guide you through the spectrum of coffee they have to help you nail down the perfect cuppa.

A Cup Thing (aka 一杯嘢) is a new pet-friendly cafe in the Jordan hood which opened last week.Over the past few days, they have been gradually rolling out new items, to provide a more comprehensive menu covering coffee ☕️, desserts 🧁 and some light bites incl pasta 🍝, toasts 🥪.The coffee are provided by local roaster Aster roaster, tried out the Honduras Masaguara which underwent a brandy barrel fermentation, the note was fruity and winey, it was light and subtle. Definitely have a go at it, it goes well with their sweets 🥰.The matcha waffle was certainly feast for the eye💚💚! With contrasting colours of reds and greens coming from the Azuki and matcha, super mouth watering! The waffle portion was huge, totally doable to be shared amongst 2! The dish consists of a large scoop of matcha ice cream, whipped cream, and shiratama (matcha and original). The waffle itself was crispy with a lovely eggy aftertaste.
Meanwhile, the matcha roll was another recommendation by the owners, the moist matcha sponge was dressed up by the homemade delicate matcha cream. You can rest assured that the cream isn’t overly sweet. 📝Verdict: The cafe is a good hideout and offers some real good homemade warabi mochi! 🤎🤎…查看更多

NOOT is the first cafe to open in HK in 2022 (opened on 1 January), located between the border of Happy Valley / Causeway Bay. NOOT stands for No OT (overtime) which is something the owner experienced previously during his time working in the banking sector.The chips, served with newspaper looking cone come with ketchup and truffle sauce, was crispy and tantalising.On its opening day, 4 cakes were on offer and I picked the honey cake. The cake was superb, layered sponge and delicate honey cream, a light cake option.Latte was pretty good as well, you get both options of nutty/fruity.
