Came in with excitement, left with proper anger! If it wasn't for Jockey Club, this place wouldn’t last. Swear to god, it's absolutely the worst meal you can get in Wan Chai. What kind of restaurant serves cold "hot ginger tea" and "mushroom soup"? This low level fusion japanese idea is an epic failure - you can't even get this simple udon with poached egg, served with sesame sauce right?! The udon wasn't rinsed properly and the water diluted everything. The whole thing was tasteless.Btw, what does "new chicken" even mean? Not sure if I was expecting too much here but the whole experience here makes me feel like I am begging for the tea set. Walked in at 2.30pm, got told that tea set was available from 3pm. We respected that and just started with a tuna salad, fries and two drinks. When we ordered, we asked if I could just pre-order it and have it served at 3pm. The lady made it sound like it was rocket science and she was very reluctunt to do so. Said I needed to tell them at 3pm. (Then how is it “pre-order”?????!!!) Staff members all look like they hate their lives here. Forget about the smile, they are simply RUDE! Food is terrible. The fries were literally crumps and the salad leaves were soaked in really sour dressing. Awful! Didn’t even finish it. Oh the moment we wanted to go elsewhere for the tea set, we saw it on the bill. So they did place the order .... oh well... why does it have it be so difficult. I am literally out of words. Food is yummy as always, never doubt it. To be honest,  for this quality of food, I don't think they are expensive but they are not cheap for sure! I am just very surprised how their service has gone from excellent to terrible. They really should do something about it. Last time I came was few years ago and it was marvellous, both food and service. However, there was no service at all yesterday. Staff was impatient and rude, we had our hand up for 10 mins and no one saw us (we did waved btw!). Forget about the smile, they didn't even listen to us and they walked off before we finished our sentence. If you think you are having a bad day, you are wrong. Coming to this place makes your day worse than you could imagine. Don't think they are licensed to have bbq here. Ventilation sucks - my friends and I were choking on the smoke. We got there before 8pm, there were 10 of us and they gave us the only room they had. Only two bbq tables at the balcony. Since the last table was still there, we had to wait until 9ish before we could do our bbq. Very limited options of food. Toilet was disgusting and the whole place was soooooo old and falling apart. Honestly, can't believe we had to pay over $300 for this. Even a $150 bbq in yuen log is way better. All in all, overpriced and uncomfortable. The whole place is smokey to the point where you can't even breathe. Can't think of a place worse than this.Finally, something fishy! You go up, it's called Passion but when they book for the bbq, it's "Super 7". You cannot find Super 7 on Openrice but you will see their website with just a whatsapp number.
