Reasonably-priced cafe with a nice vibe
TC2 (Tea Coffee Two)
2017-04-18
Food: My favourite is the definitely the soup!!!!!!!!!!!! It's hot and yummy! Much better than other restaurants like 哥登堡I ordered beef spaghetti- it's pretty good - not super super good but tastes similar to other cafesCoffee: Loved the hot coffee served in pretty black up!  It's really hot! Price:  Reasonable $55-70 for a set lunch (drinks and / or soup included depending on which lunch set) No service charge. Location: super convenient! Just 1 min walk from Prince Edward MTR Exit D Vibe : Brick walls and books on shelves - quite good for a meal or afternoon tea! Service :  Friendly and helpful! …Read More

VibeIf you want a simple lunch, this is the place to go!This place is relaxed, and you won't need to hurry and this is also a great place for catching up with friends!Grab a coffee and you can chill for the whole afternoon!FoodThe food is not bad given the price. Cabonara and Tuna sauce spaghetti are worth a try. The lunch set comes with a ddrink and there are a variety of drinks on offer! From green tea latte to smoothie to soda.ServiceService is super friendly! I'm a regular, so the shopkeeper recognises me and would sometimes chat me up.…Read More

Pretty boutique - but unimpressive taste
Queen Sophie (Hau Wong Road)
2017-02-26
Egg tart: $10 :Looks wonderful, but no egg taste.Milk tart: $12 :No milk taste. The  pastry (酥皮)  is quite good though!  But the tart is not as good as Pie & Tart. Durian tart: $18 :No durian taste until you get to the bottom of it..... Overall, a fresh newcomer to the sleepy Kowloon City neighborhood with its attractive Parisian bakery outlook. The tarts are not impressive and expensive. An old neighbourhood bakery, 豪華, offers a cheaper and better alternative for egg tart and Portuguese tarts.  However, if you want to buy pretty pastries, this is the place to go to.…Read More

Afternoon tea with great service!
Cova Ristorante & Caffe (又一城)
2016-12-15
Wanted to enjoy afternoon tea at Simply Life but missed their last order So me and my friend headed to the much more expensive alternative Cova. We made the afternoon tea just in time! (5:30 is the last order)Price for afternoon tea: $150 for a drink and a piece of cake. The waiter was very patient and recommended the iced cappuccino and Earl Grey tea. We picked the Earl Grey. EarlGrey comes with lemon and honey or milk, and I highly recommend lemon and honey! The tea was served with tea     leaves instead of tea bags (in Simply Life) and remember to take a sniff inside the tea pot! The aroma really blew me away The waiter recommended the mango cake, and it's really good! Cream is also served at the side. Overall, Cova is a good place to chill! …Read More

Relaxing and Healthy Breakfast!
Cafe Ceres

Food: tastes okay, and is healthy. Juice is pretty small in size though. Price: Quite expensive ; with 10% charge, around $95 per personEnvironment:Not crowded. Big tables suitable for families. Also suitable for coming alone witha newspaper/ catch up with friendsOthers:If you break their tea set, you are liable to pay. They even have a big sticker stuckon the tea set, which I found very annoying. They décor is very high-end, but service is definitely low-end. Service is not friendly. They will give you thereceipt first before you ask for the check , and they will not come and refill your glass of water on theirown. …Read More
