I have been coming to this place for the last 2 years. In the beginning we only went there for shisha and drinks. There isnt much you can mess up with a gin and tonic- they know how to make one. Their shishas are cleaned daily so theyre not 'raspy' and they dont charge for extra coal which is unusual. We dined there for the first time around 6 months ago and we were very impressed with the food- the lamb tagine is extremely tender and delicious! The staff are lovely- very talkative and friendly.  …Read More

I had the mushroom soup, the angus steak and mushroom salad and a coffee.Soup: This wasn't so much a mushroom soup as a potato soup with a few thin slices of mushrooms thrown in. Totally bland and very cheaply madeSteak and salad: The steak was ok, quite fatty and very thinly cut- nothing to write home about. The mushrooms were poorly sauteed- I was also disappointed to see that they had used shitake mushrooms, in addition to button mushrooms- shiitake mushrooms never seem to sit will in western dishes. As for the salad: there was one solitary cherry tomato and one piece of cucumber in my 'salad'- saying that the leaves were very fresh. Herbivores has a good reputation according to open rice but unfortunately it fell far short of my expectations. I had the lunch set 'salad' and main course but unfortunately I was left feeling very disappointed and hungry!The salad consisted of lettuce with a balsamic dressing....a very small portion tossed with a lot of vinegar.For the main I had a vegetarian pizza...basically consisted of a flat bread spread with KETCHUP (yes that’s right- KETCHUP...as in from a bottle) topped with undercooked vegetables…no cheese. Undercooked vegetables are often preferable to cooked but not when you’re having eggplant.Recommendation...don’t go here until there put a little less time into marketing and a little more time into thinking about their food!…Read More
