Wonderful experience. I ordered a scone with clotted cream and jam, while my friend had a chicken salad. Both taste great. The salad is filling, nutritious and appealing, great work. As for drinks, I had herbal tea, you can taste the fig and berries, and I enjoyed it very much! Tried it out with Mom and had a good time. We had a piece of tiramisu, an americano and a season special Peach Blossom Latte. We enjoyed everything and would visit again. Apart from the quality food, the staff on duty is helpful, friendly and professional. The environment is special and cosy. Caffe Milani sits at a corner of the courtyard, providing an open and relaxing view for customers. The interior decoration is warm and welcoming. Seats are comfortable, but it may feel a bit cramped if it’s busy since tables are quite closely placed. I had a passion fruit and yogurt mousse cake and a cup of hot Earl Grey tea. The cake tastes alright, too tangy for me, and its size is relatively generous. While the tea is just right, but milk or sugar wasn’t offered. The service was average, welcoming but details were missing. For example, the waitress didn’t ask if I needed milk or sugar with my tea. At the check out, I was given some sort of coupon, but I wasn’t told what it’s for. Also, the food and drinks were served with disposable paper plate and cup. It is a dilemma to share how wonderful this place is, because I like it so much that I don’t want to share (what a child!?), however if we can support local small businesses like First Stage Cafe, maybe more like them will bloom!I have visited twice in two weeks, and I am growing fonder of this place. In a crazy city so obsessed with speed, you can still find tranquility and steadiness in this cafe, where nice people serve you good food and quality drinks, and customers who respect the shared space. I love their exquisite and lovingly made food and beverage. If you are looking for a high diversity of food, you may leave with a bit of disappointment, but the food they serve on your table is guaranteed to make you smile.
