今日難得假期,便入西貢逛逛。人生路不熟,搵食自然難。不過曾經有人推薦蘇珊娜餐廳的焗汁豬扒飯予我,所以不妨一試。入店一看,只覺黑漆一片,甚有70年代扒房風味。微弱的燈光,襯托舊式餐桌墊和有牙膠柄的餐刀,心想會否和兒時吃過扒房的質素一樣。店員遞上餐牌,我不用說當然點了焗汁豬扒飯(不是焗豬扒飯)。初時我都不知道焗汁豬扒飯與焗豬扒飯的分別,十分鐘後,店員送上豬扒飯,啊....原來焗汁豬扒飯是這樣的:兩塊煎豬扒配炒飯,再加上秘製的醬汁。炒飯是整碟的精髓,炒飯加上蛋絲,炒得粒粒分明,香而不膩,豬扒肥瘦均等,軟硬適中。秘製醬汁更是令人回味,茄汁做底,配以鼠尾草作香料,再加上少許肉碎,真是令人喜出望外。…Read More

昨日和一大班同事外出覓食。因為下雨的關係,便到就近的其中一個「飯堂」用膳。本來我們並不是第一次光顧明洞屋,亦知道它的質素是怎樣,所以大家也敢於嘗試新菜式。其中一位同事點了「辣豬雜湯飯」。上菜後,我的同事吃了一驚,首先發現湯不是辣的,其次賣相奇特,一碌碌深啡色如豬大腸般的東西在飯面上,腸邊還有一些透明的東西突出來。這時服務員端上一碟辣醬,示意要自己加進清湯內而變成辣湯。哈哈,清晰的湯加入辣醬後變成紅色,深啡色的大腸浮在上面,似甚麼呢?原來透明的東西是粉絲,廚師很用心將粉絲釀入腸中,但賣相實在令人嘔心。食物的色、香、味,原來是缺一不可啊!…Read More

源日漢 12345我們一共5人前往。我們點了一個壽司套餐,普通過普通,見城好食好多。另外亦點了她們著名的鱈魚,一點都唔特別,其他都唔太記得,不過最記得有一個比維記雪米糍仲難食既甜品,名不符實,侍應態度亦唔好,以後唔會再去!源日漢

談到NOBU的食物,Black Cod Saikyo是招牌菜,總是中規中矩。今次我想講的它的甜品 Mochi Ice-cream。其實用一句說話己可形容它整體的外型、味道和吃後的感覺:維記雪米糍。還記得小時候第一次吃維記雪米糍有一種新鮮的感覺,因為應該是熱烘烘的糯米糍竟然可以凍食,但不久便發現糯米糍雪凍後是粉厚皮硬,如嚼橡皮。NOBU的Mochi Ice-cream也逃不過這個定律。試問用了$95(未加10%)的價錢,品嚐一盒「維記雪米糍」,值得與否,見仁見智。註:本想拍照,卻遭阻止,請見諒。…Read More

大多數光顧灘萬的朋友,都會對其出色的日本料理,一試難忘。但其實灘萬有一款佐酒小食,在坊間很難找到同樣水準的出品。就是炸蝦頭!灘萬的炸蝦頭,不但毫不肥膩,而且香脆爽口,價錢合理。另外灘萬的芝麻雪糕也是一絕,芝麻雪糕不只味道濃郁,還有白芝麻碎粒混入其中,實是雙重享受。本人對芝麻雪糕有一定偏好,可是走遍香港多間食店,仍找不到與日本出產的水準,唯獨灘萬做到。不愧是香港手執牛耳的日本料理。大家如再去灘萬時,除了品嚐懷石、刺身外,還可試試炸蝦頭和芝麻雪糕。…Read More

普通街檔的腸粉,大多數都是由工場大量製造。工場為了控制成本,只會用粉槳製造腸粉(即用麵粉開成漿)。明利採用的是米漿,它的好處是比粉漿更香更滑。由於米漿成本較高,所需功夫較多,所以大部份的食店都不會用米漿。差不多每位明利的顧客都會叫以腸粉製成的食品,一嘗米漿的威力。明利除了腸粉外,炒米粉更是充滿娛樂性呢。因為老闆每當炒米粉時,都會喪炒,即使炒到天一半地一半亦繼續炒。坐在大鑊附近的食客,偶爾也受到米粉突襲,大家大可一試。…Read More
