Went there today in a Friday morning. There are only two tables with guest. I decide to sit outside because I bring two dogs with me. The waitress told me I can have dogs above the table. I told her that’s fine coz I am going to leave the dogs in my lap. That is the reason why I want to sit outside. I went to numerous restaurants in Sai Kung and they all allow you to have dogs on your lap when you eat at those table outside the restaurants. I place the order and the food came. Waitress come over and said I need to keep my dogs under the seat. I refuse to do so because I am having the dogs on my lap and that was under the table as they originally requested. Talk to the manager and she is the most rude manager I have spoken with. Cant believe restaurant under COVID situation can still have this kind of service. No wonder all restaurant are almost full and this one only have one table with guests. Don’t ever come here if you have dogs or if you want to speak with waitress and manager act politely. Worst experience in Sai Kung ever. I decide to return the food and leave with my dogs. The coffee has nothing special to it when it arrive. Just normal Starbucks type of latte. All day breakfast, toast is over cook. The crust is burn as you can see in the photo. Eggs are obviously not top grade egg as you can see the yolk is very pale. The Egg Benedict is ok a piece of toast instead of English muffin. Hollandaise sauce is again very pale. No tomato or veggie on the side at all. Cost of value is very low. …查看更多

Sushi - Besides what I mentioned earlier.  The sushi was not as fresh as described by other reviewer.  May be different people has different expectation.  But for the cost they charge you, I guess it is acceptable.  The only problem for the sushi might be the defrost has not been completed by the time they are cut and serve.  Specially the fish and clams.  2. Skewered 串燒 - This part is ok.  This is actually the main food we want to have that night.  They are freshing skewed and serve.3. Teppanyaki - Again, cooked food seems to be at acceptable level.  A bit too moist is what I can only say.  You would expect Teppanyaki food should not contain that much of moist and relatively dryer4. Tempura - Need to write a few order paper before it actually came.  Too much batter dipped in the shrimp and other food before they are fried I would say.  Fry oyster, I almost cannot find the oyster to be honest.  It is the small oyster I have ever seen in my life.5. Cheese bake oyster - Many cheese instead. Oyster is not as small as the deep fry ones but still it is not poportion to the shell size.  Little bit sand can be found when you are chewing.6. Green tea - We are sharing the tea pot with the next table because they are so lack of waitress.  Tea is from green tea powder.  7. Dessert - Ice-cream mochi.  When you ask for the bill, they will bring you the mochi. Nothing special need to mention here as they are just the same mochi you can find in supermarket.  Except again, they are a bit too hard due to insufficient time of defrosting.  This is the first time I go have Japanese buffet that I actually leave before it is times up.  Mainly two reason.  I am fed up by their missing orders and food wasnt good enough for me to wait for them to finally come to my table after filling up few order papers.…查看更多

Today I went out with my co workers to have lunch. A group of 9 people went there and where are the first people in that place so finding a table wasn't a problem. 7 of us ordered lamb set lunch, 1 ordered chicken, and 1 ordered vegetarian set lunch. The set lunch includes rice, naan bread, and salad.The taste was ok. except one of the guy found a snail in his salad. Not a dead snail, it is actually live and moving. The funny thing while we are still talking about it and before we can take a photo or something, the female owner of the restaurant came to our table quickly, picked up the snail and throw it away. Immediately, she told us it is Friday, I would prefer you guys get the bill settle now since there are people waiting outside. I was like WTF? Not only she didn't say sorry, but immediately she asked us to pay the bill and leave! Can you imagine this?One guy saw a sign outside the restaurant mention there is discount if people pay with HSBC credit card, so we want to make sure it is applicable to lunch time. The guy ask the same woman, she replied very unfriendly with her broken English, "blah blah blah blah two hundred blah blah blah". We were like what? Before we can ask her agian, she already took the credit card and go to the cashier to charge it. Not only after she came back with a pen to ask the guy to sign the bill, we can ask her what she was saying. She said it only apply to dinner.When we get back to office and split the bill up to 9 people, we found out she actually charged us 10 dollars more too. Need to grab a quick lunch today. During lunch time, usually every where is packed in Central. Heard about this place since I always go to 蘭芳園 right opposite, so I decided to come here and order take away today.Food ordered - 燒肉鵝飯燒肉 - 皮脆, 肉不太韧 even it seems like 沙尼篤位. A bit salty but still acceptable燒鵝 - They give me 脾 this time. I guess I am lucky. The meat is juicy and rich flavor of goose. 飯 - 少少暖, 份量夠, 不太硬亦不太軟. Ok.Overall this place is not bad for a quick lunch. But I am not too sure why there are so many popular guys recommend this place since there are many newspaper and magazine cutting outside the restaurant. Saw this place ranking really high in openrice so I decided to go give it a try.First, lets talk about environment. It is a old traditional 燒臘飯店 with a lot of people inside during rush hour. Tones of people waiting in the line outside for take out order too. 4-5 people pack into one small table. Definitely not a place where you can sit comfortably for meals. They have plastic cups and a plastic tea pot on the table, so you can get a cup of tea for yourself.Second, now about the food. I order 燒肉鵝飯 and my friend order 叉雞飯. 燒肉 - 唔掂. Very dry and cold. May be they give me 沙尼篤, so it is pretty bad. Worst than a lot of other 燒臘店燒鵝 - OK. Skin is still a bit crunchy and the meat is still very juicy. Of cos you can't compare it with 深井, but still acceptable切雞 - 無乜突別. Pretty much the same as the other 燒臘店. They give us 雞翼. 肥左D, 無乜肉. I guess it really depends if you are lucky and which area they give you叉燒 - This is the best one. crunchy and taste of honey outside. The meat is tender and juicy. One of the best BBQ pork I have ever try.飯 - People usually don't mention about the rice. But I think rice is pretty important in a dish of 燒臘飯. Portion is big here. 軟硬適中. 飯重有少少暖. Ok.例湯 - Not bad. 無乜味精. 西楊菜湯. 有少少住家feelSince it is really pack inside the 燒臘店. I didn't take any picture of the food. I guess it might be better if you order take away and enjoy it some where else where you can sit comfortably. Or try to go there in non-rush hour or something. When I was young, 腸粉 is one of the best snack to have after swimming. 熱辣辣, 甜醬, 麻醬, 辣醬, 加上芝麻, 非常好味. As time goes, those traditional 街邊腸粉檔 are almost all gone. Saw this place in Wan Chai, it reminds me of the old days. So I want to give it a try.腸粉 is hot and fresh, but does not have a lot of 米味. Heard about this place for a while, but I am not a big fan of 潮州糖水, so I never came here yet. Since I went to the Indian restaurant today at 九龍城 and I wasn't too full, so I decided to come here and try some 飽肚潮州糖水.Food to order:1. 蓮子椰汁黑糯米芝麻湯圓 - As you can see, their desert name is extremely long. Basically, I think you can mix everything you like in one bowl of dessert. Haha. 蓮子 is very 鬆化. I dont like 蓮子 myself, but I have to say I have never had 蓮子 that taste so good. 芝麻湯圓, it is not the typical 芝麻湯圓 you have in other dessert place or supermarket. 真正皮薄餡靚. Worth to mention, it is not only 芝麻蓉 inside. There is a little greenish stuff mixed with it (might be 艾草?) which makes the 湯圓 a bit more 清香.2. 腐竹意米清心丸 - Simple yet taste really good. 腐竹 is still in shape it suppose to be. Most places will have the 腐竹煲爛. 清心丸 = 蓮子, 不用多講.There are still many other dessert there which I still have to try next time. I will definitely come again.One thing worth to mention, since it is summer time now, I won't eat hot dessert. So I order my 蓮子椰汁黑糯米芝麻湯圓. WRONG! Do not order cold 糖水 here. Why? Living in 坑口 area, there are not too much of choice for a quick lunch. One of the place I go pretty often is this place. I wouldn't say their 刀削麵 is really really good, but if you combine it with the price, I would still recommend this place.Food to order:1. 豬軟骨刀削麵 - Very 清蕃茄薯仔湯底. Very healthy in a way cos you won't feel thirsty afterwards since they did not add any 味精. 豬軟骨 is very good, software and juicy. Usually 2 to 3 big pieces. 刀削麵 is cut pretty thick (some people might not like it this way), but I think it is very 煙韧. 份量多, 好抵食2. 東坡肉 - To be honest, I haven't order this one myself yet. I am not a big fan of 東坡肉. But I saw a lot of people order this with noodles or rice. Base on the out look, it seems pretty good. 東坡肉會分開上, if you order it with noodles or rice.3. 煎小籠包, 宮廷餃 - 小籠包 in this place is NOT good at all. After living in California for so long, I am so spoiled by the USDA Prime grade steak in US. It is really hard to find really good US style steak in HK. Not only the quality of steak is hard to find, but also the way they cook it. Usually when you order medium rare in HK, you won't really get medium rare. Any ways, there are a few pretty good steak house in HK I would suggest and Morton's is one of the best.Here you can find real USDA Prime grade steak and real US portion (huge). Everything you order here is huge and this remind me of my home. This place is way better than Lawry's Hong Kong. At least Morton's in Hong Kong really taste almost like the US one.If you look for romantic dinner, here is also a good place to go. Highly recommend for steak lovers.…查看更多

Since I am writing comments about other restaurants, why not leave a comment here too?Food to order:1. 鹹檸七 - First thing to order, of cos will be a drink. Old fashion drink for 大牌檔.2. 蕃茄碎牛炒蛋紅腸通 - There are many kind of noodles you can order but this one is my favorite. Sometimes when they are not in a rush, the egg and beef inside are still a bit raw, it will taste even better.3. 檸蜜脆脆 - Signature bread there. Not very sweet, bread is very crunchy 4. 豬扒包 - Bread is crunchy, pork is juicy. Not as good as the one you can have in Macau, but still not bad.5. 混醬多 - Another signature bread there. Thick slice of bread, crunchy outside and soft inside. Very goood.Friendly reminder:If you are someone like myself who is afraid of heat, I suggest you not to go there during summer. Also, try to get the lady to take order for you as soon as you sit down, otherwise it will take forever for someone to come over. Kaetsu is one of the best Japan buffet I ever had. Price is kinda expensive (Cheaper if you have Grand Hyatt VIP card), but the food quality is definitely worth it.There are a couple things you must try there:1. 生牛肉 - If you really like raw beef, this is a must try. Very tender and juicy. 2. 美國極黑牛鐵板燒 - This is the hot dish you can order. Unlimited supply, but you need to order them which makes it even better cos you always have it hot and fresh. The steak is very tender and juicy, also with a lot of 牛羶味. This is one of the best hot dish you can order there3. 雜果白酒 Jelly - One of the dessert there you must try. Blueberry and mango mix extremely well with white wine jelly. 清甜的生果帶著淡淡的酒香jelly. Very nice.5. 栗子雪糕 - Usually they have 4 kind of ice cream there but only bring out 3 of them. When one of the flavor was finished, they will bring the other one out. Out of the 4 flavors, I think chestnut is the best. Not the traditional Chinese chestnut, but actually sweet chestnut from Japan. You can actually find chestnut pieces inside the ice cream.Nice environment and friendly services. 砵仔糕 is one of my favorite street snack since I was a kid. Since I moved to US, I really miss it a lot. Every time I came back to HK, I will always try to find a place to buy 砵仔糕 and 雞蛋仔.Ok, back to the 砵仔糕 here.Pros:1. A lot of beans2. Hot, seems like freshly madeCons:1. Too soft I think. Been to this place twice. First time I went there my impression was really nice, clean and tidy place. Pasta is really good, but the portion is extremely small plus pricey. After I find out you can get a larger dish by paying more, every time I go there I actually order extra pasta.No complain about the quality and taste of the pasta there. Found this place here at openrice. What to give it a try during lunch time. Order 叉蛋飯 and 凍奶茶. First, there are 3 eggs in the dish! That's already over the limit of egg a human being should eat per day. Any ways, you can also take the yoke out if you want. 叉燒 is not bad, rice is much better than 樂香園咖啡室 (蛇竇) since they are not cold and hard. 豉油 is the special of their rice. Not salty at all.
