I just looked for some new restaurants to explore during the restaurant week and I picked this one. We ordered the Crab / Peach and Turnip, and Scallop and Sea Urchin /Squid Ink Puree and Vichyssoise as starters.The Crab / Peach and Turnip was great.  It had a lot of crab meat and could taste crab’s special flavor and sweetness. When comparing the Scallop and Sea Urchin, the scallop did not have much flavor, and the combination was kind of bland.For main courses, we ordered Blue Lobster and Pan Seared Amadai.  The blue lobster claws had a mild sweetness.  The Pan Seared Amadai was a pleasant  surprise.   The fish scales were all crispy, but the fish was moist and tender.  For the dessert, we had the Black Sesame Blancmange and Chocolate an Matcha Genoise.  Both desserts were good but not special.…Read More

My friend and I had Flint’s HK Restaurant Week Set Dinner.   For the starter, we ordered the Salt Baked Beetroot, and Dill-cued Akaroa King Salmon.   The Baked Beetroot had preserved its natural flavours and was a very pleasing appetizer.  The Dill-cue Akaroa King Salmon may be a bit salty for me. For the main dishes, we ordered the Glacier 51 toothfish and Iberico Pork Chop. It was the first time I tried toothfish.  The taste of toothfish was similar to Cod  which was mild but unlike Cod, its texture was medium firm.  The pork chop was tender and juicy. The roasted pumpkin sauce enhanced the meat flavour by adding sweetness to it.Although, desserts were not spectacular but were good.  Overall, I had an enjoyable meal there and would visit again sometime.…Read More

入到元朗,當然想試下米芝蓮 的推介。這家麵店座落元朗旺區,都容易找到的。麵店有2層,由於地下已經滿座,我們被安排到1樓。店子雖然舊,但比一些市區茶餐廳還整潔。我们点了推介的炸醬捞麵,淨水餃。也点了個牛腩麵。炸酱麵的醬汁味道調較得好好,但係如果可以俾多少少醬汁就好啦,因為唔夠汁食個麵。牛腩都林,味道比较清淡。佢哋的麵條比平時食的有点不同,比較粗身,硬身,及爽口一点。麵條不太索湯或汁,而且麵條沒有什么味道,所以覺得有点怪,但口感0k。水餃亦不同一般廣東水餃,皮是較厚身,比較似魚皮餃的皮。餡料有很多蝦同木耳,味道也是較清淡。整体來說,佢哋的食物的確不同別的麵店,可以一試。…Read More

It was one of those restaurants located in Kwun Tong's industrial buildings. We were there around 12:10, the restaurant was basically empty. The seating was comparatively spacious, and decoration was simple and upbeat. They offered 8 choice of 3 course lunches ranged from $98 to $158. As I would join another friend for afternoon tea later the day, so I decided to order an Avocado with Crab Meat Salad, and my friend ordered the Spring Chicken. After we ordered the food, the waiter gave us a basket of bread which was hot and soft. Then they served the soup. I could not tell what kind of soup it was kind of bland (I finally knew it was cream of cauliflower when I overheard the conversation of the waiter and the guests of next table). Then it came my salad. Well, it looked nice, but it was too small and looked more like a starter. I thought they could at least put a little bit more lettuce on it. The avocado was well mixed with generous amount of crab meat. The crab meat was sweet and delicate and tasted great. After waiting for another while, we figured out that it might take more time to roast the chicken, so we decided to share the salad first. The spring chicken was finally ready after we finished the salad. I had to admit that it did worth the long wait. The chicken was fully cooked but was still juicy and tender inside! My friend liked the sauce but I thought it was a little bit too sweet for me. Then we ordered the drink. I ordered the mocha and my friend ordered the organic Jasmine tea. The mocha was okay (additional point for the latte art) but my friend complained that the Jasmine tea did not have much flavor and was not as good as the Jasmine tea in some Chinese restaurants.Overall, we thought the food was good but the service was not so good. The waitress show the table to us just put the menu down and walked away, and did not tell us what was the soup of the day. When we ordered our food, the waitress again did not tell us. Okay I accepted that it may be the communication problem. When I ordered a dessert, the waitress told me that there were 4 choice of cake that I could choose from. After I ordered and waited for 15 minutes, I asked the waitress to check the order, then she came back and said the blueberry cheesecake I ordered was not available. Okay, I accepted that it would be another communication problem. However, I could not accept that the waiter knew he poured some hot tea on the table when he put the teapot down but he just walked away. He did not clean it or at least gave us some napkin to clean it. I tried a few similar restaurants in the area, and I thought they had the worst service. In addition, the services was slow. I had not been in Metroplaza for sometimes, so I decided to check out what's new and found this restaurant.I decided to try it as its decoration and settings looks really comfortable In addition, for a hot day, their set lunches included an unlimited refill of Mandarin and lemon eat!I ordered the Seafood Laksa Lemak. The presentation looked alright, in had 3 reasonable size shrimps, few slices of fish cake, and bean curb puff, half hard-boiled egg, and mixed noodles. The soup was creamy because of the coconut milk. However, it was not spicy at all. I did not expect it to be very spicy, after all, I could not handle spicy well, but I kind of felt they missed something.Overall, service was good. Waiter/waitress kept on refill our drinks.P.S. my friend and I tried it again a few days later. The Sambal Coconut Chicken Spaghetti did not have much meat, other than that, the sauce was good.
