Ordered a chicken breast Caesar salad and milk tea to go. This set is $68 and I think I got about $15 dollars of value for it. There is barely a cup of leaves in this lunch box and the leaves aren’t even romaine lettuce. Not to mention you can barely see any slow cooked chicken and dressing. This store should be shut down. A very pleasant afternoon at salisterra. This is my first visit using the Cathay Pacific Voucher for 2 (top 100 miles bank in award). I’ve visited other hotels like Mandarin Oriental using vouchers or prepaid set, and the service typically is spotty. So indeed I came today with not much expectation. Having said, I was blown away by the overall experience. First of all, they reserved the best window seat for me. Service was exceptional and prompt. All of their staff are attentive and very friendly. You can easily find them around and yet you don’t feel like they are constantly watching over your shoulder or trying to get you to hurry up. If you book using CX voucher, it will come with the X butter cookies set plus a glass of cocktail/mocktail. We picked the mocktail on this visit and it was a refreshing drink with pineapple/lemon/passion fruit juice. In terms of taste, I especially liked the savoury items which are richer in flavour than the typical sandwiches you will have at say peninsula or MO. Went last Friday for brunch and it was delightful! Nice and quiet with comfortable seats. It wasn’t crowded in a weekday morning so you can really take the time to chill, eat and talk. One line summary of my experience is “overpromise, under delivered”. Food portions were small and tasted okay with the abalone pot rice being “the best” in this tasting menu. But nothing spectacular about the presentation, taste, or ambience to make me remember this place and wanna come back again. They are obviously more keen on upselling customers with more food order from the moment you sat down than to do a good job across the board. Ms Ronnie was exceptional in how she made us feel very unwelcomed by insisting we sat directly under the air con vent when we (2 seniors and me the handicap) were there at 12:30 with only 2 tables of guests. Such “5 star” service is truly unforgettable. So my recommendation is for same amount of $$, you are far better off going to grand Hyatt and island shangri la. This place was recommended by my friend and so we went...a gang of 3 girls. Food:Superb! I had the roasted duck set while my friends tried the risotto and lamb shank set. Portions for my friends were larger than mine but all in all, enough to fill any hungry stomach. =)Each set comes with salad (with oil and vinegar dressing, delightful!), toast and soup (interestingly served in a cup!!) and your choice of hot/cold drinks.
