Palm Court is a nice place for having a chat and chilling out in the afternoon. We spent 2 hours having our afternoon tea in there. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable and the tables weren't too close together which was great. The strawberry yoghurt tea tasted OK. Hubby liked his ginger tea. The scones were excellent. I think they were better than what we had at Mandarin Hotel but the old Ritz was the best. Some other items weren't so good though. The bread was stale but the smoked salmon was really tasty and the chocolate one was lovely too. Good service and the staff were very friendly and smiley. We went in there for their tea set. I had fried rice with abalone and cha siu. It was yummy but I think they put quite a lot of salt or msg. :)Nevermind, I don't go there often. I enjoyed what I had. What I had in there wasn't as good as what my hubby had. My main course was good but not excellent. The fish wasn't tender enough. Hubby's lamb was nice but not the best he had. My dessert was lovely. It was mango cheesecake. I enjoyed it very much. And hubby loved his cheese too. The special birthday dessert was yummy. It was chilli chocolate ice cream and salted caramel ice cream with some fresh fruit. They did it well and hubby was very chuffed with that. Overall, the service was better than the food. The restaurant is very beautiful with a lovely view but it gets quite noisy since the the kitchen is open. Maybe they can change that. :) I don't know. I was looking for a good curry place to have dinner with our friend. We used to go to another place in Chungking Mansions but the last time we had dinner there, it was very disappointing and we have decided that we will never go back to that place.So I found this lovely Indian restaurant on openrice. There are good reviews. :) I thought we should give it a go. We were really impressed with the food and the friendly service. We did order a bit too much food but everything tasted so good that we managed to finish it all. We went there on a weekday. It was packed with business people. They got us a lovely table by the windows. The view was good. We felt very comfortable in there. The service was 5 stars and so was the food. We enjoyed trying different kinds of dim sum. I loved abalone puffs most. Hubby's favourite was the baked barbecued pork buns. My sister chose this place for lunch. We all went for their set lunch which included a starter, a main course and a drink. What I must say about this place is that their service was excellent. And the food was yummy. The presentation was great. I liked the soup a lot. And it was lovely to have lunch there on the balcony area. The sun was shining and it made the meal really enjoyable. We got there around 12pm. They got us a lovely table by the windows. The view was fantastic. Even though the weather wasn't that good but we still enjoyed the food and the view very much. I wish I could have my meal there every day. lolIt was such a wonderful birthday meal! We went in there around 2:30pm. There were only a few customers apart from us. It was nice and quiet. :)We ordered 2 lunch sets. I had green curry pork chop with rice and it came with a drink. I had 拉茶. Everything was great! I loved it. Hubby had Thai roast pork neck with fried rice. It was fantastic! Next time I will order that for sure! It tasted so yummy! We also had roti. We didn't have to wait for a long time before being seated which was great.Once we sat down and ordered the food. The samosas came first and then the rest of the food didn't come until 25 mins later. We were pretty hungry then. Anyway, the samosas were small but the taste was OK. The chicken biryani was pretty good but the rogan josh was just average and not worth the price at all. There were only about 8 tiny pieces of lamb. :( And they charged it for $60 or $65. Is that a joke? This place just got too popular and the food is not good anymore. :( We also had keema naan and mango lassi. We didn't enjoy the meal honestly. The service wasn't so friendly either. Will we go back? I was actually looking for another cha chaan teng in the same area as this one but found that it was no longer there. So... we went into this place for lunch instead. It was very busy in there. We ordered some fried rice and hot milk tea. Food tasted good but they were a bit stingy with the ingredients. My milk tea was great though. Oh I was a bit naughty and ordered a bo lo baau. My hubby took me to Sabatini for my birthday. We both thought that the food was great and service was lovely. I enjoyed the Antipasto the most. The main course was nothing special though. But...we liked the cakes a lot! :) They gave me a slice of birthday cake which tasted amazingly delicious. The live band was cool. They sang a few songs for us. It was really nice.
