Tried the new Korean-style toast-in-a box restaurant in Causeway Bay which is at the old location of "I Love You Pancakes". I've already tried the most popular breakfast toast-in-box, "Egg Drop", back in Seoul before, and to be frank, this version by Life Toast🍞 wasn't bad. 😋 Life Toast is probably the third/fourth toast-in-box store we have in Hong Kong, and to differ itself from the famous Egg Drop, they offer options like Soft Shell Crab🦀 with Scrambled Eggs 🍳(68HKD) and 🐔Sous Vide Chicken Breast ans Avocado with Onsen Egg🥚 (55HKD), and the latter is what I ordered because a friend who tried the soft shell crab said it was really oily. I really liked the onsen egg which was done just right; definitely still half raw, but not runny so that eating the toast wasn't messy. Avocados were ripe, and the slow-cooked chicken breasts weren't dry. Very similar to the Korean street toasts, they have that special sauce which went very well with everything and gave that honey-sweet aftertaste.Drawbacks? I was just slightly annoyed by the fact that the sandwich was 55HKD (already double the price of what we paid in Seoul🙃) and they wouldn't even provide me with a cup of table water 😅. Yes, I could have paid an extra 15HKD to upgrade it to a set and get extra fries and a soft drink or just order one of hose special drinks a-la-carte which I (who was feeling very health conscious at that moment) didn't want. Finally tried this Korean-style cafe after seeing all the reviews about it. The whole cafe’s vibes really reminds me of those cafes in Sangsu 😭; the cafe itself is spacious, with a white/wood theme. Ordered the Soy Bean Black Sugar French Toast (88HKD) and a cup of Apple Cinnamon Latte🍎☕️ (55HKD), and my friend ordered the Fresh Strawberry Milk🍓 (58HKD). The apple cinnamon latte was literally just a very sweet cinnamon flavored (apple flavor wasn't so strong) foamed/steamed milk...no shots at all. The strawberry milk has strawberry pulps on top. Both drinks had a very cute instagrammable appearance but as for the taste, it wasn't anything amazing. The drinks were slightly disappointing, but there was absolute no regret ordering the Soy Bean Black Sugar French Toast🍞 (88HKD)🤟🏻💛. Honestly, not cheap for the size but it was delicious. The two slices of bread toasted with black sugar were crispy and sweet, and came with caramelized bananas🍌. and spoon of mascarpone💛. Best of all, the toast were covered with soybean powder (which is my favorite cause I love injeolmi 🥰🥰🥰). Everything just goes so well together. This 🇰🇷korean-style cafe is still quite popular, and it'll probably be quite difficult to get a seat on a weekend, as we had to wait a bit even on a weekday.…查看更多

I've probably passed by the doors to this cafe multiple times, without realizing there was actually a cafe inside. Ordered a ☕️ hot skim milk latte (35HKD) and a green tea mousse cake (~48HKD) 🍵🍰. The latte itself was decent, and the latte art on my friend’s mocha was really pretty. The cake however, has room for improvements...honestly I was really disappointed in the cake because it wasn't cheap but the taste was very so-so (from to the texture and taste of the green tea mousse itself, and the cake base). Tried so many different Korean Hot Dogs before but this is so far the best I've ever had. When I tried this back in December, the store was fairly new. At first I thought it was another copycat store, but it turns out to be really run by Korean staff. Ordered the 🥔🧀Potato Mozerella Cheese Hot Dog (34HKD) and damn, they did not lie about the stringyness of the cheese 😱. Everything was made-to-order I had to wait a bit, but it was definitely worth it. The potato cubes on the outer couting was also super crispy and chewy. You can add as much mustard and ketchup to it as you want. Originally felt really guilty for adding sauce to it (since it was already coated with sugar) but obviously the devil side of me won lol. Tried this previously “告急” restaurant for the first time. Ordered the Australian Sirloin Steak lunch set for some protein, and it came with soup/salad and a drink for around 128HKD+10% service charge. Honestly not a bad deal ‘cause the steak was actually quite thick cut and medium rare 👌🥩 As for the side, you can choose rice/fries/pasta. Personally my 2nd visit but this time I brought two other friends along. Somehow we managed to make it during Afternoon Tea session after work, so we ordered the a tea set that includes a hot/cold drink each: 🐟🍔 Tartar Fish Burger (33HKD), the 🐔🍔 Cutlet Chicken burger (33HKD), and the 🐷🍔Double Cheese Pork burger (44HKD)🧀🧀. I had the fish burger, and I thought it was pretty much on par with the one at B*rger**m except it's just slightly smaller in size and the fish itself may not be as classy but taste-wise, it's honestly the same with a HUGE difference in price. I loved how the fillet was deep-fried until it's crispy and golden, yet not over-fried. Although this place lacks the typical western hipster vibe to it unlike most burger joints, it really has really become my favorite burger place in Wanchai district.#黃色經濟圈 …查看更多
