Ok, food is delicious, reasonable price and decent portion. They are doing a promotion for takeaway orders with 10% off and free rice and dessert.It is the service that is the issue. Have been looking at this since quite some time and got to pay a visit myself, and it did not disappoint at all.Third Steamulation pipe I had so far, Lime Mint and Earl Grey served in Joe Hookah Eclipse 3 Bowl with Kaloud Lotus. Very balanced flavours, the Early Grey gave a strong backbone for the Lime Mint, the Lime Mint was the dominant flavour even after charcoal change. Heat was managed well with no choking problem. Thick and big cloud for 1.5 hours.Second bowl on the house: Cola Lime in Talemon Evil Screw Glaze Bowl. First time having Cola actually, unexpectedly I quite enjoy how the flavour performed, the Lime added a hint of refreshment to the sweetness in the Cola. It did understandably fade after 1.5 hour, still did not give an ashy taste. One of the go-tos back in 2014 when I did not have any preference on shisha. Quality was on and off according to my standard back then. Can tell from old photo quality I guess.Their pipes are decorated and bling bling but what matters is the shisha quality. Not up to the standard in general, flavour was subtle and borderline non-existent. Thin smoke and charcoal was under-heated, it depended on my puff to light up the charcoal. The shisha did not give out the burnt sensation though, so I won’t say it is the worst I have had, it is just, plain and very basic.This is barely acceptable for beginners or light smokers, but not experienced smokers with high expectation. The outdoor area is chill though, ample space for chatting with friends, food was okay, not wow kind of quality. Cocktail shisha they have, but not a big fan of the traditional pipe. Hubble bubble we got, the base looks like a fruit punch. First few puff can feel the alcohol from the base but not long after the smoke in the pipe disappeared - sign for a bad shisha. Disappointed with the longevity and intensity of the shisha. Changing charcoal did not help, got some more smoke but that’s it.Food portion is big, two person can share a nachos, do not be greedy.Price below $300, but I would rather go for premium shisha than a cheap shisha that delivers nothing. Sister bar with He Says in Causeway Bay, this is the first time I meet his female counterpart in person.Wookah and Shishabucks they offer and no doubt I went for the Wookah. Mix of Lavender, Early Grey, Mint and Twice the Ice in the Kaloud Samsaris Vitria Hookah bowl with Lotus Management System Combo. The Mint and Twice the Ice were very prominent in the first half hour, slightly overlaying the Lavender to be honest. The Earl Grey was present after cold Peppermint from the Twice the Ice.First change of charcoal after 30 minutes, Lavender started showing after the mint was consumed, from there it gave you a Lavender tea vibe because of the presence of Earl Grey. Little bit of sweetness from the Lavender after each puff at this point. Mint was still present but was much more subtle.No change of charcoal afterwards and the shisha stood for 2 hours. First attracted by their interior then realized they served shisha as well. Shisha on fleek on the first time, Wookah pipe they used. Thick smoke and strong flavour, charcoal was burnt evenly. First change of charcoal after 45 minutes.However, my subsequent visits were disappointing, the mixologist left the bar, leaving the shisha tasteless and choky. A 15-minute old shisha tasted like a burn-out. Requested for charcoal change and did not help, the Wookah should have helped but unfortunately it didn’t. Forgot about the price. Always my go-to shisha place if I feel like some puff around the area, been there countless times, this is the best if not the best of the best. Custom made flavour and the chef can make any flavours with his magic hands. I always have to come back for it no matter how good the shisha outside is.The only shisha I don’t have to ask for new charcoal and the flavour lasts forever, I stayed 3 hours and the shisha was still popping. Carbine Hookah they are using. The puff is smooth, and gives the perfect balance of flavour and intensity, you get the buzz with no headache. I honestly can’t think of anywhere living up the standard.Ignore the shisha menu at the bar and just order straight to the chef, it is a one-man band and space is limited. Honestly not a fan of the swings as the terrace is not wide enough to contain the pipe, it would be easy to destroy the pipe if you really swing instead of remaining static.Shisha quality again, does not live up to the price, around $300-400. The flavour is prominent in the first 15 mins, then the smoke was pretty much gone afterwards - it was thin. Finally got some tables at this forever-packed bar. Shisha available after 10 but we managed to sneak in the backdoor for some early puff time. Well-made cocktail and shisha they serve.Location-wise is a bit remote from the busiest Mongkok district. Together with few other bars next door, it forms a little community here. Could be an alternative if you want some me-time after an intense day of shopping nearby but TST is too far.Pipe from Oduman. Tried their Lychee + Earl Grey with Earl Grey base, and Paan with Earl Grey base. Flavour lies on the medium spectrum, not the most intense ones I had. Longevity around 1 hour, it did take some time for the charcoal to heat up and some extra puff to achieve that ‘on-fire’ fume. Not the thickest smoke in town but definitely I am not mad at it.You can feel the Lychee and Earl Grey layering up and they reveal themselves as time went by. The Earl Grey base further enhance the tea aftertaste which matches with the Lychee in the tobacco.Then the Paan with Earl Grey base, also medium flavour intensity. The charcoal was burnt more evenly and quicker as it just took me few puff to ‘start the engine’. No problem for continuous puffing for 1.5 hours.The shisha did deliver some quality - smooth smoke, long-lasting flavours, just for my own palate I prefer stronger flavour and thicker smoke, but I guess it is just the flavours I chose. Dragged by my friend all the time, he has an obsession over this bar somehow. Here for the shisha and was never impressed. Classic flavours and traditional pipes they serve, all I got was burnt charcoal taste and choky coughs after few puff.Foil packed but no frequent change of charcoal, the ash kept falling into the tobacco through the foil holes. They were way too burnt when the shisha was first served, overwhelming the non-existent flavour. Around 30 minutes and flavour was gone, changing charcoal did not help.Won’t recommend to any level of shisha smokers - plenty of better choices for beginners anyways. Second visit here, it is another shisha place around Causeway Bay with a big terrace. Interior is cozy with a touch of Izakaya vibe.After few cookie encounters last times, I decided on some minty puff to refresh my palette. Ordered a mix of Grapefruit-Pomello, Mango, Kashmir-Feijoa, Frosty and Supernova served in an Alpha X Pipe with an Oblako Large Size Bowl. First Alpha pipe I had so far and it gave a smooth inhaling experience. I found the icy sensation from Supernova was too overwhelming for my palate at the first 45 minutes, then the Frosty slowly showed up, minus the initial freezing cold chill up to my brain.The Kashmir-Feijoa started popping, the spice formed a backbone to the citrus/stone fruit base note: Grapefruit-Pomello and mango. I would say the mango was slightly more prominent because of the natural ripeness in the fruit. Charcoal change every 30 minutes, it lasted for 1 hour 15 minutes as the tobacco was consumed, it did not leave an ashy aftertaste, the flavour intensity gradually decreased.$388 for the shisha, mid-range to premium price for a well-made shisha as compared with its quality counterparts.Need to beware of the windy terrace however, an extra coat or scarf is needed.…Read More

High quality shisha located in Causeway Bay, giving us more choices when you are too lazy to go all the way up to Soho.Again, flavour is tailor-made, we specifically asked for stronger tobacco, they came up with a mix of Mango, Mint and Coconut. First time I had Coconut in the mix as I don’t prefer the creamy/ body lotion kind of aroma. For fruit I am used to citrus fruits but not really stone fruits, so I had no clue how it would get along with my palate.This new combination is however surprisingly a good match. First few puff were a bit too strong but the mixologist quickly adjusted the charcoal so we were good. The strength did not disappoint us as well, it gave the exact buzz I was looking for that day. You have that electric shock when the flavour went up to the brain.First change of charcoal after almost an hour, the flavours disclosed themselves by layers - first the Mango, then the Coconut and lastly the Mint. After 2 changes the strength and intensity were still there, the buzz and the euphoria in the brain did fade understandably, but overall it did not die down all in a sudden.The flavour layers made sense, you first had the intense Mango Coconut with a hint of Mint when the charcoal and tobacco was fresh, then as the tobacco were consumed bit by bit it left the fresh mint on your palate to end the whole smoking experience, so that it won’t be overly minty in the beginning but in the end no fruit.Their staff also attentively cleaned our table from time to time. There is a rooftop but weather was not good so we stayed indoor, maybe check them out again during sunny days next time.They are doing 20% off with free wifi and each customer gets 2 free masks.
