I used to have a wonderful visit to Hung Li congee house everytime I visit Hong Kong.Today on Christmas Day, I visited my favourite eatery and to dismay, I've to rewrite my views on Hung LI. My wait for a table was immediately. I ordered a Sampan boat congee and Cheung Fun. To my disappointment, the congee which was their trump card was watery and not the usual " meen" smooth and thick. The Cheung Fun was sticky and tasteless. The Soy bean and Ma Thew was palatable, nothing to shout about. The disgusing thing was, there was a slightly visual impaired man hanging around the place poking his fingers into the Yow Thew and pulling them apart!!!!!. The male waiter was impatient and rude. The counter lady was just as bad. Hung LI has lost it's taste. When ask where was the Boss, they answered they are back in China. But the Thais and Chinese still throng in.
