We've been there about seven times now and I've yet to see another gweilo. +1 to Chili Party for not being discovered by expats (yet!) Onto the food... We ordered chilled spicy pig ears for an appetizer.For the main dish, we got extra spicy (there's another level beyond that I haven't tried). Right, so if you're going into a hotpot situation thinking that each meat and vegetable component will have its own distinct flavor, you deserve to be disappointed. Pro Tip: get thin/textured meats (pig intestine, lamb) and absorbant vegetables/non-meats (broccoli, tofu). The point of hot pot is to enjoy the over-riding flavor. So if you like a really satisfying numbing sensation, you will certainly like the higher levels of spice here.The portions were more than enough (for a grown man, no less!).
