Sundy Dinner
H One
2009-08-27
近排 H-One逢星期日晚都有buy 4 get 1 free Buffet, 所以同屋企人去試吓。H-One offers 唔只傳統嘅Buffet, 其實antipasto with ONE main course。 …Read More

Cozy Britsh Pub
THE CHINNERY
2009-06-26
Dinner with friends at The Chinnery in Mandarin Oriental, it’s a very cozy place to hang out with closed friends. Food there was very good and they served authentic British Pub Food. Not many to choose from the menu but enough choices. We tried their Steak & Ale Pie (it’s huge), very tasty Fish & Chips and classic Banger & Mash. Their desserts were quite nice as well… such as Eton Mess, Apple & Blackberry Crumble Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding. We spent like $300 per a person and left with a very happy tummy! Worth to go if you like British Pub Food.…Read More

Not a good Experience
Domani
2009-06-26
Went there for dinner a few months ago because a Michelin Star Head Chef there. Honestly, it wasn’t a nice experience that we had… food quality wasn’t as great as we expected, especially the main dishes. Presentation wasn’t too nice as well, I found that it’s a bit too messy or having too much details, the chefs liked to use the fruit peels to decorate the dishes… and I found that it’s a bit strange. We tried the Scallops with Caviar, Scallops Capriccio, Parma Ham, Tomato Jelly with Prawns & Scallops Salad, Lobster Pasta, Crawfish with Clams. It's very funny that one of the Lobster Pasta came with a very strong fishy taste and my husband requested to exchange to the classic pasta in plain tomato sauce. Well, having a classic tasty pasta in tomato sauce is a MUST for every single Italian restaurant.... in fact it was a shock to all of us when the server displayed that tomato sauce pasta to my husband, it was like the ham and tomato sauce spaghetti which serves at the very local HK style cafes (Char Chia Tang). The presentation was horrible and the taste of it was really bad as well… my husband just a few bite and gave up. Sorry, I’m not over exaggerated but that’s exactly what we had experienced. Service is fine and price wise wasn’t too expensive, we paid like $400 something per a person. However, for the food quality that they provided last time, not really worth the money and we ended up left somewhere else for desserts. So I’m not too sure if I will give a second try though.…Read More

A Chill out place
The Pawn
2009-06-26
Dining at the Pawn for a few times and normally will go there during the winter time due to we like eating out at the Patio/ balcony area, summer time is a bit too hot for sitting out there. It’s quite a nice place to chill out with friends… food quality is ok and they serving high end fusion style of British pub food. Most of their starters were very nice, such as seafood salad, pate, oyster were very fresh as well. For the main dish, I quite like their duck breast and we also tried their fish & chips and pork loin rib. Will strongly recommend their apple crumble dessert, it’s very tasty. You’re looking at about $750 per a person for dining with a starter, a main, dessert and wine.…Read More

New Style of Noodles Place
Beef Noodles
2009-06-25
I was visiting my friend who lives in North Point today and she took me and our other friends to a new noodles place in North Point for dinner, 青藏牛肉麵. It’s a tiny restaurant where’s located on a small ally. I never tried any food in 青藏 style before. Surprising, the food was very tasty and interesting. Without reading their restaurant name, I thought they were serving Japanese style noodles and skewers, coz their interior designs is very modern and doesn’t look like a Chinese style noodle place. After tasting their noodles and we’re amazed, they tasted very different but delicious. We tried many different dishes like their signature sliced noodles with beef and chicken, spring eggs (won chuen eggs), grilled eggplants, lamb chops, skewers of chicken wings/ chicken livers, bake/ pan fried onion cakes, vegetarian chilled noodles and chicken nuggets. I’m highly recommended the Spring Eggs, Noodles, Onion Cakes and grilled eggplants. It’s very good deal coz we ordered many food and each of us was paying like only $70 dollars. Will definitely visit again to try out more other beef and lamb dishes with another group of friends due to a few of our friends who had dinner with us tonight who don’t eat beef. …Read More

Place to gather with friends
La Bodega
2009-06-25
La Bodega is quite a nice place to have a casual tapas dinner & drinks with a few friends. Food quality is quite good and I like their garlic prawn and bacon wrapped scallop. Food there isn’t too expensive, it’s about $200 per a person with a happy full tummy. They’re now serving weekdays set lunches as well… very good deal like $100 something with buffet style antipasti then three choices of tapas as main dish, dessert and a beverage. Since more ppl get to know this place now and I will recommend to make reservation for either lunches or dinners there. …Read More

Not That Bad
Cépage
2009-06-25
Just went there for dinner with a few friends past Thursday night. I heard a few bad comments before dining there… in fact, overall wasn’t as bad as others said. The service was quite good, except an Asia female waitress who had “black face” all the time. Food quality was quite ok, not the best (my favorite French cuisine is still Gaddis) but pretty ok. We spent like about $1600 per a person for starters, mains, desserts and a bottle of wine. One of my friend had tried their 7 courses tasting menu… there’s a lot of food! If you have big appetite, you should try their either 4 or 7 courses of tasting menus, due to their 7 courses tasting menu cost about $1400 and it’s about the same cost of ordering a starter, a main and dessert from the a la carte menu.…Read More
