Terrible Service with average food
Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao
2019-04-16
We picked this restaurant because it was conveniently located in IFC and for once, there wasn’t a queue. However, there is always a reason when you don’t need to queue in HK. First of all, the service was terrible. We were served by a waitress named Angel. But names can be deceiving as she has nothing of an angel. She was rude right from the start and was extremely impatient. Food arrived fairly quickly but again, nothing like the pictures. Fried noodle wasn’t fried but just reheated. Xiao Long Bao had a super thick skin and the Dan Dan mian was flavourless except for being extremely spicy. They probably changed the chef and the management as this looks like a “cha Chaan Teng” more than anything. The only difference is a much higher price to get mistreated and eat average food. Not an enjoyable experience at all and I would NOT recommend anyone to go there. There are a lot of better options. Staff definitely need training …Read More

Good but expensive
Shanghai Garden Restaurant
2018-11-01
Party of 4 went to this restaurant for a casual dinner as it is conveniently located near the MTR and next to IFC. The place is usually never full but never empty. The food overall was good except for the “Pékin” duck Shanghainese Style. It looked nice but wasn’t really good. Service was not too bad except at the end where this waitress urged me to take the last piece of Siu long bao when we haven’t even asked for the bill yet. She told us that she will take it away now if we didn’t eat that least piece right now!! She was extremely rude and cleared the table while I was still finishing the food. And the restaurant wasn’t even full . That last part made the dining experience a bit deceiving. Prices are a little high for this kind of shanghainese restaurant but it is in a good location so it explains it. …Read More

Super Nice and delicious Vietnamese food
Au P'tit Pho Vietnamese Restaurant
2018-04-23
This is a brand new restaurant in Mong Kok. The location was a little weird as it's inside bar Pacific. However, as soon as you go go down, the place is definitely a hidden gem! It is in the lower ground floor and It is extremely spacious and even have a pool table. The staff was friendly and the food was quick. We ordered the beef and chicken Pho along with the chicken wings and spring rolls. It took less than 10minutes to get the food and drinks.First of all the Vietnamese coffee was extremely well dosed : just the right quantity of coffee/milk/sugar to make a perfect coffee. The Chicken wings were perfectly fried and the skin was crispy while the inside was super tender. The spring rolls tasted exactly like the ones we have tried in Vietnam and they were really delicious. As for the pho, I have to admit that I have not had anything so close to the pho we used to have in Paris in a long time. This brought back so many memories !This place is really comfortable and the boss is very friendly and knowledgeable. It is a must go if you want to try authentic Vietnamese food. We will definitely go back ! …Read More
