Lunch at Louise was amazing, I couldn’t stop myself with their sourdough bread and I just kept asking for more, what a healthy way to start a meal! I especially enjoyed the honey glazed duck - it was delicious, flavourful and moist on the inside. I’ve always enjoyed Épure, they just never disappoint, from casual dining on their patio overlooking the Hong Kong skyline to a fine dining lunch experience. This was one of those experience, during Hong Kong Restaurant Week back in Spring 2020. Their beef tartare was on point and oh le cochon was tender and flavourful - never enjoy pork so much! From the start until the end, it was absolutely amazing. I paid extra attention to the finer details - as expectations were high especially for a three Michelin stars restaurant, but they were met. The bread selection was amazing but bordier butter was my highlight - the last time I had this butter was in Paris at L’Avant du Comptoir. There were four types of bread but I decided to try their baguette, brioche and chestnut sourdough, my favourites were the baguette and brioche which match perfectly with the bordier butter. Amuse-bouche was not memorable to me, but my appetizer - the Foie gras terrine with pear chutney was fresh and flavourful, even better pairing with baguette and not so much the soft brioche that it came with. I had few bites of the beef and oyster tartare with kristal caviar, and the mushroom soup - I was pleasantly surprised by the soup and probably skip the tartare next time. Mains were on point and enjoyable, but I was not blown away by them, perhaps I was getting too full or there is just room for improvements.Lastly, I picked the seasonal chestnut mont blanc with cream brûlée and vanilla ice cream on the inside ~ it is very different from the usual mont blanc and ended my lunch on a wonderful note!I would definitely revisit but how can I physically manage anything more than a three course lunch? Thai Food at its best, the food, the service, the atmosphere, just amazing! I enjoyed the vibe at the restaurant from waiting for the table until the end. Food was also equally amazing, from drinks, appetizer to desserts. Ordered the chicken satay, fresh coconut, watermelon slush, khao soi, and roti with coconut ice cream. Every dish was flavourful and even the side salad on the chicken satay was done to perfection. Had an amazing 4 course lunch menu for my belated birthday celebration, truly an experience to remember. Every dish was cooked to perfection, with an asian touch to them. Every dish was flavourful and is complex, yet innovative. However, I didn’t really enjoy the cucumber sauce for the beef, I thought another creamier sauce would compliment better. I especially enjoyed the sunny side up cocktail, it was zesty and refreshing for a sunny day. Michelin star style Chinese fine dining, enjoyed celebrating my friend’s birthday at Ming Court. The venue was spacious and seating was comfortable, we were there for almost 3 hours! Would appreciate if they are more flexible in terms of their dining hours/section. We chose the Lobster seasonal set, overall food and service are above average with a delicate touch on every dish. My most memorable dishes were lobster steamed egg whites, soup, lobster noodles (fried) and the pear dessert with bird nest hidden inside! The butterfly room is actually one of my favourite place for afternoon tea. Their sandwich and truffle tart was surprisingly good, so is their strawberry shortcake, scones, madeleine, and other dessert tarts. My heart really wanted to unlimitedly consume them as it was after all, unlimited. Dinner omakase was good and executed well and the restaurant was cozy. However, it took a while before we were seated and while most of us are on time, we were kept outside for a while. Amazing tandoor food, food and service are top notch - have nothing to complain except that it wasn’t exactly easy to book. In a nutshell, their dim sum menu and food quality is much better than dinner, I’ll go again and again for dim sum but maybe not for dinner.
