Came here for tea buffet on a weekday. Seat was self arranged. Enjoyed the salad bar and the fried vegetables the most which was quickly refilled. Both hot and cold drinks available including luo han guo tea and iced lemon water. There’re various hot dishes to choose as well. I enjoy vegetables more than carbs. The sweet and sour eggplant was superb. Though you need to serve yourself most of the time, but it’s likely you will enjoy some quiet meal time alone with good food with other self disciplined customers. I’ve come to know this resto for years and it never fails their customers.I went in for lunch alone this time. Was thinking to go for the beef burger but decided to have salad for my body instead. The staff greeted in English with a pleasant smile which was really welcoming. Iced lime soda water was immediately offered for free - I felt so much better when I just got in with sweat. Salad was fresh and satiating. I usually don’t like salad sauce coz it tastes too thick and oily but this was just right. Black coffee was fine. Need to hv another coffee afterwards so I didn’t order the soup.Staffs were very attentive to their customers which I appreciate. Quality service. Nice staff. Generous food portion. Delivery of food is quick. We tried beef pot last time and Japanese hotpot this time. Seafood was mediocre. There were sands in the scallop. I prefer the beef one more. Croissant with salted egg yolk filling is a must to try. Though it’s not crunchy the filling can amaze you if you are a fan of salted egg yolk. Choices of drink is impeccable from free flow plum wine and sake to tea and Korean soft drinks. Choices varied from time to time. Dessert fridge made a remarkable note too. Mainly Japanese and Korean ice cream and ice lolly that i would pay for at supermarket. I didn’t try the homemade ones like tiramisu and puffs as they didn’t look very fresh. Walked into this restaurant unplanned as the one I wanted to try did not offer dining in anymore.The staff were polite and friendly. They asked me if I’m student which surprised me. I guess they must have student discount but I’ve never been asked. They also cared if it’s too sunny to sit by the window that I really felt welcomed. Alcohol handrub on each table was made in hk. I’ve ordered honey mustard chicken burger set lunch with coffee. The chicken was fair. The bread was scattered with white sesame bottom and top. The fries came in pretty large portion. The greens was fresh but I’m not sure if it’s seasoned additionally coz it tasted more salty than balsamic vinegar alone. The regular coffee tasted surprisingly nice. It comes with a small pack of golden coffee sugar which is really a bonus amid the pandemic. Good choice of upbeat and groovy music too. First time been to this coffee shop. We arrived at 11am while the staff was replacing breakfast menu with the lunch one. I ordered the veggie burger with dirty while my frd ordered the beef burger with hand drip coffee. We shared the tiramisu at last. The bread was properly baked that the surface was crispy even it had been cooled for a while. All vegetables in the burger was fresh - the onion slices tasted just right and not too pungent. The beef was seasoned with spices but was still very original which is brilliant. The potatoes were very fleshy. All glass containers serving the coffee was warmed to preserve the optimal temperature for tasting. There was an additional glass containing the ground coffee so we could smell and taste at the same time. I truly enjoy this tasting experience. The tiramisu was comparatively a bit disappointing to these quality food though still good in general. Maybe I was expecting too high from the ‘liquor and egg contained’ caption at the menu. The sponge cake tasted a bit too dry and the liquor just stained the surface of the cake. The coffee essence tasted beautiful though.Overall I like what I have had here today. First time been here and doesn’t take me too long to locate the cafe. Cozy environment and service generally fine. Ordered fried chicken sunny-side up egg coz it sounds new to me. Salad was fresh, oil and vinegar was light. Waffle was mildly sweetened and fair. But the fried chicken was really crispy and the seasonings highlighted the whole dish. Sunny-side up egg was of crispy edge though the york looks a bit too orangey. Syrup didn’t look as diluted as syrup so I guess it was honey(?) yet it didn’t taste anything floral.The dirty I had was brilliant. Layered hot and cold lasted for the whole meal. Wanted to order fries but eventually go for rice with pork chop in white curry sauce as I was too hungry. I haven’t got adequate cash but the staff was friendly to help me with the online payment. Food of generous portion. The soup was fair. The rice has surprised me coz they are oily!! It has been long since I have had oily rice and it really tasted and smelled nice. The sauce was ok though the spices could hv tasted stronger. The pork was too dry. I like lean pork chop but it was a bit too rough and salty.Overall I think it was not a bad option for hkd$45. Came here for dinner with my friend. We ordered dinner sets with slow cooked tenderloin (mushroom and onion sauce) and seafood risotto with tomato sauce. The salad as the appetiser was fresh and the black vinegar tasted really good, though I don’t know why two bowls came in different portions. The main dish was fair. Tenderloin was too rough though the mushroom sauce was creamy. I was also expecting a stronger beef flavour from slow cooking. Baked potato skin was a nice decoration to the dish and I was glad the mashed potato wasn’t seasoned much. The risotto was fair. Mussels and the shrimp was fresh. Tomato sauce not too sweet but could be a bit more cheesy. The restaurant does not have simple seasonings on the table and the attitude of the waitress was frankly not very kind. Would like to first give credits to the staff helping out at the reception counter, who kindly introduced me the offer at dinner time, and allowed me to sit in before the dinner session started. Was taken to a window seat which was really cozy. Ordered portobello mushroom burger with the Banoffee milkshake. The bread was roasted just right. The beef could have marinated stronger and fried longer. The portobello mushroom was a bit disappointing too - though at a discounted price - it could be larger in size and juicier. Sliced pickle was a bit too much and I was hoping for better balance from another sauce. The fries was standard. The ketchup tasted from Heinz. Eventually happened to try out the burger in this lovely restaurant this afternoon. It was a public holiday and sadly just a few tables occupied. Initially planned to try the all day breakfast which is my all time favourite yet couldn’t resist the burger menu and ordered a vegan one. The bread itself has been roasted just right. The tofu steak was pinkish to mimic real meat but the texture was a bit too soft. I wanna give credits to the hash brown - it was really really crispy from inside to outside! It sounded strange to me to include a hash brown in a burger at the menu until having a first bite on it. Serving as the crispy chopped onion, the burger was really surprisingly incredible. New elements in traditional taste.The thick french fries came in very large portion. I doubted whether to order it with extra $8 as I wasn’t sure if I could finish them and I decided to give it a go since burger must comes with fries!! Special credits to the Taiwanese style milk tea too. I ordered a hot one, and the bitterness it carried was just right.It was a really pleasant dining experience. Staff were very helpful and kind.
