Came here for dinner, ordered a bunch of food, and then… I’m pretty sure that they forgot to put in our order for the chicken.How… can you come to a Korean *fried chicken* restaurant, and they forget to place your order for *the fried chicken*? It was a shame because normally we love this place and they usually have good food. The dishes that did make it to the table were tasty…. but we ended up with a $HK350+ bill for a kimchee pancake, two non alcoholic drinks and two bowls of instant noodles. Not worth it.Not sure what was going on tonight—maybe it’s because they were very busy?—but probably won’t be coming back for a while. They took the chicken off the bill and were apologetic enough (for HK), but can’t help feeling supremely disappointed.…查看更多

This place opened up in Tin Hau pretty recently, which is great! A nice (if pricey) addition to a neighborhood that doesn’t really have a lot of Western brunch items. The food itself is excellent — I’ve never been disappointed with a meal. Their crab toast is generous with the crab (as well as the accompanying items — avocado, salad etc) while their chicken salad is actually enough to make you full. The prices are a bit higher than other options, particularly if you choose to eat local in Tin Hau, but overall the taste and quality of the food balances this out. As a result its quite popular—and can be challenging to get a seat, especially on the weekends. The biggest and most recurring problem, however, is how long it takes to get your food. I’m writing this because this is around the 3rd or 4th time this has happened. My friend had to wait over 30 minutes for his meal; it was incredibly grating to see the item he ordered delivered to tables that had come after our arrival. Several queries on where his food was also yielded no explanation.The staff were professional about this, and appropriately apologetic. It’s possible that the kitchen / waitstaff got overwhelmed with how many orders were coming in. That said, this seemed like a failure of process that occurred somewhere along the line—and it’s not the first time that this has happened. My recommendation is to please pay more attention to this kind of stuff, because it can ruin an otherwise enjoyable experience. Found this place totally by accident! Really nice pudding—had their maple syrup one, which had good texture and just light enough taste (not too sweet but still flavorful—a bit tastier than some of the other pudding shops I’ve tried in Hong Kong). They had a good selection of dessert choices, with a pretty wide range of different flavors and options. The only negative was that this place seems to be pretty explicitly aimed at either delivery or takeaway purchase, so heads up if you’re going in expecting to find a seat (although there is a small seating area). The first problem with this restaurant is that, despite it being titled “Satay King,” there was no actual satay on the menu. The majority of the food was an incredibly mind-boggling fusion mix of Hong Kong and Western fare. So if you’re coming here looking for actual Malaysian/Singaporean/Indonesian food, please avoid at all cost. The food quality was mediocre at best, with a few dishes missing / incorrect (which they admittedly fixed). The straw that broke the camel’s back, however, was how incredibly long it took for us to get our food. See photo attached: over 45 min. The dishes we were waiting for? Some fried rice dish and another chicken curry over rice dish! Did those really take almost an hour to prepare?! The service staff also didn’t really seem to care about our plight — refusing to look up to when we tried calling them over, being unapologetic about bringing stuff late / getting our food wrong. 我們第一次過來吃飯的時候菜都非常好吃，再說是我在香港吃到的比較地道的川菜。我們當時點的魚，麻婆豆腐以及牛肉都超級好吃，跟我在大陸生活的時候吃得很一樣。不過其次來吃飯的時候我們並不太滿意，除了羊肉患兒之外我們所有點的菜都很一般的。味道是挺淡的，肉的質量也沒有以前在那裡吃過飯的那麼好。到頭來我們剩下的菜是滿多的。再說，在吃飯的過程當中，我們一直在想著，廚師是否把菜弄得比較符合香港人的口味吧？總體來說這還是一個挺好的飯館兒，我們肯定會再來，就是希望下次不會跟這次一樣。…查看更多

Been here three times now and have always left disappointed; can safely say it's not just a one off. The final straw was when I ordered a scone, and it came out looking like a sad, cold pebble, like one would find on a beach in the northern Atlantic. I tried giving it the benefit of the doubt, but when I finally cut into it, half off it ricocheted off my plate and into the petrified British family next to me. Excellent banoffee pie, but they ran out of sourdough bread right in the middle of the brunch rush which underwhelmed the rest of the meal. Came out on plain wheat bread that was probably bought at the Wellcome down the street. Would come back for the pie but that's it …查看更多
