用料實在太失望
Myung Dong Express
2017-02-12
…Read More

A bit surprise for lunch from a bar!
ZOO
2015-10-10
My colleague and I planned to lunch at Pizzahut as my friend wanted to have some sea food, but had to wait for table. So we were wandering around to see if there were other options. And the orange lanterns in the front door caught our attention. Guess they are doing halloween promo with blue girl.Of course we were not at all stunned to see the all dark and black environment, given that it's a bar anyways. The lunch menu to be honest was a bit hard to understand on how to order, as no clear instructions were shown and we felt there were too many options or combinations but in fact it was either salad with protein or pasta/risotto with protein.I ordered Grilled Corn Risotto with Garden Steak, which was chicken steak to be accurate. And my friend ordered Penne with Scallops. The risotto was too large the portion, so it very quickly made me feel a little greasy. Or perhaps they should serve more chicken to balance the risotto or cut back the risotto; I'd suggest the former hahah. The chicken was very good, chewy, juciy, and grilled to the very right level. What made it even better was that they put wine in it while cooking the chicken. The wine effused slowly as I masticated the meat, somehow encouraging my appetite and soothing my stress from work. I tasted my friend's penne, and suddenly I regret not ordering this. The sauce was perfect for me, and the penne was not soft in texture which was my favourate way of cooking penne. I'll definitely try penne with chicken next time.Overall, this is a great dining place worth visiting for lunch for the second time, even though it's a bar.…Read More

Food quality and restaurant, not matched at all!
Indonesia Restaurant
2015-10-05
Been too busy to write this review. Two weeks ago I had a dinner at this restaurant with a friend who was on a diet, so we ordered an Indonesian Rijsttafel to share (actually mostly consumed by me). Also we ordered a coconut and an iced lemon tea.Dish came one after another in a very short time period, which was great because I was so hungry. However, as I looked at the rijsttafel, the way they present the food was just a ruin to my appetite. This was all we had. I couldn't help but start wondering why would such decent looking dining place present its signature in a poor, not-good-looking-at-all way? And I also started questioning if it was the way it should be for all indonisian rijsttafel? However I looked up online and google images for indonisian rijsttafel, they all showed up pretty and decent. The dish at the down right corner, which I forgot the name, looked like some overnight leftover my mum used to make when I was a kid. But to be fair, the taste of it was better than it looked. The platter was cold, and nothing in the plate surprised me, but gave me a dejavu of eating at my high school canting.Fortunately, the three skewers of Beef Rendang saved the meal. They were the best of all, but could not save my day. And one thing, my friend loves coconut meat, but the resaurant would not help chop the coconut into half. And we asked the waitor to give us one more straw to share the coconut juice, we waited a long time with no response and we asked again to find out that the waitor had forgotten!!Memories are still vivid to write this review, and perhaps they kept reminding me not to come back the second time.…Read More

Finally Closer to Szechwan
Man Jiang Hong
2015-09-22
First of all, I'm a huge fan of Szechwan cuisine!Second of all, it's been so hard in Hong Kong to find a Szechwan place of which the taste is the same as that in Szechwan. Then I found this place. It was so great, however I'd say it only has 50% the taste of genuine Szechwan cuisine. My husband and I ordered a dinner set for two, including a Steamed chicken with chili sauce (Szechwan  Saliva Chicken), Boild pork slices in chili soup, and Garlic lettuce.Sorry about the picture. We were so hungry and started devouring the chicken. The meat was not old at all, but I suggest a bit sour would help release the taste more and smell better. This one is my favourate!! The chilli taste was so rich in the soup and totally soaked through the pork. The meat was not over boiled, so that it could absorb the soup easily which makes it very juicy and yummy. The spiciness was within my acceptability, which was great. The Garlic Lettuce was a simple yet very tasty dish. One more thing, the Spicy Szechwan Noodle, was just so so, and we did not take pictures of it. Overall, I definitely will come back for a second try.…Read More

Fresh, and it's really Fresh

Japanese cuisine is not always my choice when dining out, but with my husband's strong recommendation, I decided to have a try of this restaurant on 18th floor of The One at Tsim Sha Tsui.First of all, the view is fantastic. From the seat I can see the victoria harbour and central on the other side. It did tickle my nerve a bit that how come I never knew there was a place like this at TST. I ordered Soba Noodle with Yuba, and my husband Soba noodle with rice on the side. The noodles are very fresh in taste as if I were put in a remote rural area of Japan, and a local housewife was preparing dinner for her husband at a cold rainy night. (although I do not cook myself hah) The texture of the noodle was a bit too soft for me, but the Yuba made up for that. Then we have desserts. We ordered a Mutcha Barfait and a bowl of (name forgotten). A bit dissapointing that both of them were not as good as I expected, and not worthy of such pricy price in my opinion. To sum up, I liked the noodle and Yuba, but not a big fan of the mutcha barfait. However I may visit this place again, because the environment is fabulous.…Read More

Best French cuisine this year!
Ivy
2015-09-16
It seems as if it’s been a long while since the last time I’ve tasted such heavenly good French cuisine. My husband and I wanted to trace the excitement back to our taste buds, and we decided to try out this newly opened restaurant. The menu surprised us in the first place with a wide range of salad, from which we chose Lentil Du Puy Salad and Burrata with French potatoes to start with. For the main we selected Spring Chicken to share, and Souffle for dessert. The lentils soaked in the fresh olive oil were not mushy at all compared to many other restaurants, and I really loved the way they served the dish with ice chilling underneath, thus the crunchy texture of the salad was nicely maintained.  The Burrata and French potatoes tasted better than the way it looked. The mozzarella cheese with cream on top was a perfect match with the juicy French potatoes; however I’d love to see more rockets because I’m a big fan.:)) As for the Spring Chicken, I’d say it was the best chicken I had tasted this year. Every bite of the meat was equally juicy and the savoury smell of herbs and lemon unexpectedly agreed with my picky choice of food. Every bit of the chicken was worth slicing and devouring with joy and pleasure.:))) Then it came the soufflé, which was a relatively big one, but it was no surprise since it’s for 2 persons. The soufflé was rich in flavour, and the softness and sweetness were just right for me and my husband.  Overall it was a great dining experience, and service was good as well. We definitely will come back to taste the rest of the menu. Perhaps tomorrow!…Read More
