Tried MONO Lab on a Thursday afternoon. The café is located on the top floor of this old & run down building. We found it a bit difficult to find since the look of the building was so misleading but once we arrived at the café, we were more than pleased! They have an outdoor portion which is more reserved for customers who intend to shisha as well as an indoor portion decorated with a cute and minimalistic design. We were seated by the window so we had a great view of Tai Kwun as well as lots of natural lighting coming through. It was quite busy when we went and most of the clientele seemed to be young adults studying or meeting up with friends. The staff were very friendly and helped to seat us right away. To order, you go up to the counter. Note: they don’t take MasterCard so I had to pay with cash. We ordered an Americano, Hojicha Latte, Tomato Margherita Bagel and the Signature Pretzel Herb Cheese Bagel. Everything was quite delicious! The coffee was smooth & the hojicha latte was the perfect strength. Both bagels had a nice chewy texture and the Margherita Bagel came with a sundried tomato mixed herb cream cheese spread which was very light & fluffy. I tried the seasonal Grapefruit Yuzu Four Seasons cha series after work one day as I’ve walked by Cha Long multiple times and was curious. It’s in a great and convenient location and the tea was not bad. It had fresh grapefruit pulp and sugar was adjustable. I ordered my drink with no sugar but it was still very sweet from the fresh fruit. However, the service was poor and the staff were not very professional. When it was my turn, they kept talking to each other while I was ordering and were borderline rude and impatient to the customers. Overall, the tea was mediocre but good for if you are nearby and want a quick drink on the go. However, personally, there are many tea other shops around Central and Sheung Wan which I would much rather go to. …查看更多

I’ve been wanting to try Mashi no Mashi for a while and finally got the chance. 2 of us went for dinner and shared the wagyu don, gyozas and the original hot wagyu tsukemen. Both the noodles and the rice were excellent. However, the gyozas weren’t as tasty as expected. The atmosphere was trendy, simple and sleek and it was great to be able to watch the chefs prepare the food right in front of you.
