Lunch set good deal
Annapurna
2019-05-09
Lunch set is 68hkd and 75hkd with tax. Good price for the quick service, nice ambience and friendly service. Portions are not too generous, but sufficient.  The restaurant offers seating near the street where you can look out or you can also sit inside with good air con. The bathrooms are clean and tastefully designed. The lunch set comes with a drin and soup or salad. You can also choose between rice or naan with your main dish. It is a very good deal for lunch time in this neighborhood. The food is authentic and can be spicy, no spicy or medium spicy. …Read More

Steak dinner set
Tung Kiu
2018-08-19
The steak dinner set for $68 includes soup, drink and main course. You can have New Zealand steak on a sizzling plate with black pepper, garlic saice or gravy along with vegetables & potatoes or rice or spaghetti. The steak was good and delivered promptly. The portion is neither big nor small - average portion, but sufficient. The soup choice is borscht, cream or miso and is served in a rather small cup, but is tasty as well. Overall, the service is quick and friendly (they gave is an English menu). We decided to try this restaurant out since it had quite a few people outside waiting for a seat. So, we thought it must be a good deal. The ambience is cozy with a local diner feel with artistic paintings on the wall. …Read More

Hidden Gem
1963 木十豆寸
2018-07-05
This restaurant is a hidden gem in the midst of the busy Wan Chai. If you manage to find it open during your lunch hour, the you have found yourself a quiet place to relax in the hustle and bustle of the city. The restaurant is tastefully decorated in 1920 fashion and has old antiques from years gone by with a nice presentation of your meal on a tray with wooden chopsticks, and small serving bowls and plates for each item. The iced tea is also mixed well and very flavourful. The quality of the food is excellent and the portions are quite generous. The staff are very friendly and patient. Come here for a Sunday lunch and you will find it quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended to anyone and everyone. The Taiwanese Specialty Fruit Tea is also very good.…Read More

Sweet and Sour chicken
Fairwood (H21 Mall)
2018-07-05
Fairwood may seem like a common restaurant, but you can always count on quick service and substantial food servings as well as quality sweet and sour pork, boiled lettuce and a good bowl of noodles to warm you up on a raining evening. The breaded pork chop is also delicious and goes well with iced lemon tea. This Fairwood has great seating options with window seating for viewing outside pedestrians and passersby as well as friendly service. We came here specifically for the sweet and sour pork and were so satisfied that we were stuffed after eating everything. The sweet and sour pork is crunchy on the outside, but tender on the inside and the veggies that go along with it are also satayed well just perfect and not overdone. They are bit cruncy, but not too much. …Read More

Apple pie
Feather & Bone
2018-07-05
The apple pie is the best option for dessert here. It is delicious and baked just perfectly with lots of real apple slices and a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream to go with it. The waiting time here for food is a while, but well worth it as every bite of the food is quality and just so tantalizing. The tenderloin is exactly as the name says, it is tender and juicy and goes well with horseradish and mustard which you can ask the restaurant to provide. The chipolata sausage is also one of our favorites to order and the salad is a generous portion of crunchy and fresh lettuce and other veggies mixed together. The side dish of kale and butter is also highly recommended as it is done well and braised with garlic. The french fries are crunchy and tasty, but soft inside.…Read More

The service here was very friendly and the al fresco dining experience along the waterfront promenade was also good. I came back here for the second time, since my first visit was very good with this chicken dish. So, I ordered it again, but it did not seem to be as a good as the first time. It was tasty, but the chicken seemed to be not as tender and juicy as I remember it being the first time. The drinks were ordered were refreshing and delicious with mint and fresh fruit and iced tea, lychee and peach. If you want a healthy, refreshing drink, just go for one of their special iced teas. The food is good and a substantial portion as well.…Read More

Tomato Sauce
Dan Ryan's Chicago Grill (太古城中心)
2018-07-05
We were disappointed at the service since we had to ask several times for the afternoon tea set menu, since we were within the time limit. They kept given us the dinner menu. When our meals finally came, we had to keep waiving down the waiters in order to get their attention for refills on drink or to order more food. When the lasagna finally arrived, it was dry and not very tasty. So, I had to ask for more tomato sauce. The "strawberry" cheesecake also came with tiny sprinkles of some strawberry jam on it, but it was far from being a strawberry cheesecake. I also ask for more strawberry sauce and then put more on it. All in all, I was happy with the food for the price we paid, but the service was a sad story and the attitude of the waiters ruined the ambience. …Read More

Blueberry Muffin
Feather & Bone
2018-06-28
Service at this restaurant has gotten better over the past year or so that I have been here. The orders are now not mixed up and the waiters are more attentive. One interesting thing that happened was that drops of water were falling down on my friend's plate and thus, he had to move over and let the puddle form on his plate. The tenderloin steak continue to be delicious and the sausages are always good appetizers. The blueberry muffin which is sold out by the bakery and the apple pie with vanilla ice cream are highly recommended for dessert. Ask for the blueberry muffing to come with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The side dish of kale with butter is also very good. It is a substantial portion and cooked well. …Read More

Jade Restaurant
2018-06-26
We were happily surprised to be given a handwritten translated local menu in the English language. Normally, these local diners do not have any English menus, so we were very thankful for this welcoming gesture. The young waiters were also very friendly and willing to explain their menu to us when we had questions. The food turned out to be surprisingly tasty and delicious, despite the small and tiny local hole in the wall that this place appears to be from the street The fried rice and the cashew veggie meat dish was also very good and crunchy and met the need. We would recommend this place to anyone who fancies local Hong Kong diner food. Very good for a quick snack as service is quick and friendly and welcoming.…Read More

Tenderloin so tender
Feather & Bone
2018-06-26
After many visits, I have learned my lesson well. The only meat that I really like at this place is the tenderloin. It is always so tender and juicy and you can't go wrong with it. I have tried other things such as the minced meat (aka burger), but that is just as good as what you could get at Burger King or even McDonald's and the sausages are good, but not as good as the tenderloin. The steak that we ordered seemed fatty and overdone and just not that tasty. The sauces offered are never to my liking so I just stick with horseradish and mustard to go with the tenderloin and meats. I have never liked the small portions of veggies, but tried to go for a salad this time. Not sure what they put in it, but it did not taste good and I almost could not swallow it. The leaves were fresh, but whatever dressing they put with it was repulsive. The coffee was good and the biscuit that came with it was complementary. The apple pie is also a very good choice of dessert which I can highly recommend. It comes with vanilla ice cream and has fresh berries to go with it is well. So, my advice is to come to Feather and Bone for apple pie and tenderloin exclusively. That is what they do best. Service seems to be a work in progress as it seems you always have to wave them down several times until they notice you and that you have to remind them what you want several times. They are also not that quick to serve your food as I suppose they take their time making it just right for you. So, no fast food here. You will be served on their time. Overall, tasty tenderloin and juicy apple pie will make your visit worth it.…Read More

Juicy Whopper
Burger King
2018-06-25
This Whopper hit the spot. I had not had Burger King in a LONG time and when I bit into the burger, it was exactly as I had imagined it would be. It was delicious, with a soft sesame sprinkled bun with a savoury grilled burger inside with fresh and crunchy lettuce and tomatoes. This Burger King is highly recommended as they have quick service, plenty of seating and are conveniently located in Terminal 1 near gate 40. There is no need to get fries or a drink on the side as you can get the burger by itself and that alone is substantial and quite satisfying. …Read More

Boiled Cabbage and Pork Dumplings
北方餃子源 (筲箕灣東大街)
2018-06-18
This restaurant is definitely worth returning to time and again. They never let you down. They are good for dinner or a quick snack. The service is quick and the quality of food is organice without the use of msg. The cucumber dish is fresh and cruncy and the mushrooms are large and well done. The choice of dumplings boiled or fried is endless. There are so many choices that you spend lots of time trying to decide. The cabbage & pork and leek & pork dumplings are so good both boiled and fried that it is good to try both out. There are plenty of sauces such as vinegar, hot chilli sauce, soy sauce or other condiments on the side of the table that you can request. The good part about this place is that you can also get unlimited water to drink with your order. They are a simple restaurant with great prices and good service to be recommended to everyone.…Read More

Strawberry Cheesecake & Lunch Menu
The Cheesecake Factory
2018-06-18
I was surprised that at lunch time we could walk right in and there was no line to wait in. All the service was very friendly and willing to chat with our group about questions we had about Hong Kong. The service was quick, efficient and professional. I was also happily surprised to find out that the lunch menu set was affordable and quite substantial will large portions and good quality serving and portion. This place is highly recommended to come for the lunch set. The cheesecakes are heavenly, as always. The lunch sets have an option where you can get a soup, a drink and a sandwhich or another entrée such as fish and chips. The Thai wrap was also very impressive in its layout and humungous portion. The hot chocolate came overflowing with froth and cream and everything was just wonderful and abounding with generous portions for a very economic price comparatively speaking.…Read More

Yum Cha (Nan Fung Place)
2018-06-18
Visiting Yum Cha was quite a big disappointment. We had to wait a very long time to be served and had to always get the attention of the waiter every time we needed something. It was sad to find out that the cute dim sum items are mainly only served at lunch and that when we did order the Farmville set of the cute dim sum animals, they seemed very sad and poorly put together. You can see from the photos that the eyes are not properly centered and they just look sloppy. Furthermore, the price is outrageous knowing that you get bad quality designed food. All the portions are extremely tiny. So, please do not visit this place if you are really hungry and want to get the most for your money. The two items which were satisfactory was the cottony candy dessert which was quite impressive and everyone enjoying digging into that. The rice soup was also very delicious as well as the vegetables that we ordered. If you want to get the most out of your photos, visit during lunch time when they apparently have the entire set of dim sum out for you to order of cute food items.…Read More

Veggie rolls
An Nam Pho
2018-06-18
The veggie rolls here are well done and crisp with fresh vegetables inside. The fresh salad leaves that come with them are also refreshingly crunchy and also of a generous portion for an afternoon tea set. This is a good deal to come for the afternoon tea set, because it comes with a drink and the restaurant is quite relaxing and quiet at that time of the day which is between 2:00pm-6:30pm. The service is always friendly and efficient as well. …Read More
