一向很喜歡Pret代表的價值,例如他們用天然食材,新鮮做,人手做等等。服務方面,一般Pret店是友善的,他們會微笑、say hi say thank you。可是鰂魚涌這間新店卻是完全沒有溝通,用餐體驗很是失望。從雪櫃裏取出食物到櫃檯付錢,那位著紅衫的店員沒有望我,也沒有告訴我幾多錢,就只是在收銀機打出銀碼然後等我付錢,全程他就是與旁邊兩位穿黑衫的同事們傾計,收錢後亦沒有任何表示。其實櫃檯就只有我一個客人,專心和有禮貌一點去招呼有幾難?當日是星期六午飯後的時間,店內只有數位客人,週末也不會太忙碌吧,但座椅上食物的油跡沒有清潔。加上遇上的服務態度,整個感覺是這舖頭沒有心機打理,好失望我喜歡的Pret變成這樣。…Read More

今天第一次幫襯這家茶餐廳,留意到阿姐們不但友善,更是老遠就微笑着行過來take order。她們與水吧先生久不久會講笑,整個氣氛就是輕鬆融洽。好:點的是雞扒香菇肉燥飯,一碟飯就有五種食材而且每一種都有份量,很高興雖然是茶餐廳但也可以吃得多樣化。冬菇切得大大粒的,肉燥味不濃很合胃口,最難得是生菜熟得剛剛好是「玻璃」,並非一早烚到變深綠色而且攤凍了令大家不會想吃的伴碟。另外有雞蛋,當然還有雞扒。12:30午飯時間要搭枱,但枱與枱之間不擠逼,感覺好。可以更好:雞扒炸到有點乾,也覺得縮細了。個人還是喜歡煎的。會記住這地方,找個機會試它的晚飯。…Read More

九龍城特色小店林立,點心店就喜歡這一家。好:樣子實而不華的點心很鮮味,並非用濃濃的醬汁或一味靠鹹。鮮蝦菜苗餃蝦肉新鮮,菠菜的味道突出,好吃過一般大酒樓同類出品。桂花紅豆糕是個驚喜,糕頂的啫喱帶着桂花的香甜,糕身滿是一粒粒的紅豆和豆沙,填滿一口的是豆而不是粘米粉,足料之餘只是微甜,讓人食出豆香。店員服務也細心,我們一次過在點心紙上選了鹹點與甜點,鹹點先到,食到差不多,侍應主動問我們可以上甜點了沒有。這細節的安排很體貼,不像很多食肆般一股腦兒把鹹甜點一同上菜。可以更好:以大眾化的價錢做出這個水平的食物和細心的服務,實是令人感動和滿意。如果硬要找需要進步的地方,那或許是腸粉的皮可以做得薄一點。總的來說,良心小店,會繼續幫襯!…Read More

好:前個星期去這新店午膳,很有驚喜。定食除了前菜、蒸蛋、味噌湯,還有像魚生飯般的大碗三文魚沙律。沙律菜很新鮮,一點也沒有焦黃。三文魚生切粒,鋪滿碗面。這一切都只是side dishes的一部分,做得講究,令人覺得這館子很有誠意。主菜是牛肉粒飯($108),之後有甜品或咖啡。 可以更好:上個星期再去,哎喲,不知是不是全店滿座食材應付不來了?三文魚沙律依然大碗,但只能在衆多的蕃茄粒中“找到”兩粒三文魚。咖啡是微暖的,不是味道。 味噌湯就依然用足料,有連殼的蟹肉。主菜是生薑豚肉($88)。今次的主菜頗油膩,配上勁濃的醬汁,似茶餐廳碟頭飯。 總的來說,希望食物能在人多時還能保持水平。起碼要減油、咖啡要熱。…Read More

已數年沒去綠楊邨了,還記得它那圓圓甜甜、賣相與味道皆動人的素菜包。星期六晚二人閒逛至世貿,便上去碰碰運氣。好:八時左右,沒訂座也不用等位。燻蛋($50兩只)是浸在有麻油及醋香的醬汁上,與其他上海酒樓的做法不同,吃下去嘗到麻香。可是如果喜歡燻味,就會覺得麻油搶去煙燻的味道了。可以更好:我們點了的餸菜都很鹹,最鹹的是豆瓣莧菜($85),蔬菜的味道被勁鹹的湯汁蓋過了。蝦子三鮮炒粉皮($138)有細件的蝦、海參等,用豉油汁去炒,可是不單沒有海鮮的味道,連豉油的鮮味也沒有,就是鹹。紅燒肋骨($148)很快便上菜了,還以爲要多一點時間去炆。肉不硬,但説不上“林”,可能火候未夠吧,感覺是廚子要用濃濃鹹鹹的醬汁去補救未夠入味的肋骨。餸菜分量不大,二人點了三個菜一個小食也食得完,以這個價錢換這個分量就偏貴了。縂的而言,鹹。…Read More

周末十二點的中環,像一個還沒有睡醒的城市,沒有太多的行人,店舖也只是剛剛營業。已經是十一月了,空氣不再是夏天時的濕濁,陽光好像特別醒神,自己也心情大好。去到IFC,選了以白色為主簡潔裝修的Asian Twist,吃個開心午餐。來到這東南亞菜餚的餐廳,要試試它的海鮮喇沙。好:喇沙甜得來還有清香椰子味,加上輕輕的辣,不沈悶。豆腐"pok"、魚片等分量夠,滲滿喇沙的香味,很喜歡。蝦則雖然大,但咬下去"霉霉的",明顯不新鮮,是個遺憾呀。可以更好:一邊吃一邊享受獨個兒的世界,其後開始多人了,餐廳坐得滿滿的。來了一個五人家庭,猜想是東南亞的遊客吧,侍應帶他們坐到我旁邊的四人檯,餘下的一人則被安排坐到我這桌去。那位遊客先生有點尷尬,有禮的對我點頭,我回以微笑。其實我也有點詫異,沒想到這餐廳會像快餐店般有搭檯這回事,而且桌子不大,兩個陌生人的距離的確有點親密。結賬時問侍應,原來這兒是容許搭檯的。但有別於快餐店或茶餐廳,搭檯的同時亦收加一服務費。很明白香港租金高,食店要想盡辦法維持收入。這餐廳的價錢不貴,收加一及要顧客搭檯,總比加價好吧。所以筆者今次食評"可以更好"一欄,不是要去批評這餐廳,而是寫給各大地主,希望他們為香港的中小店舖設想,高抬貴手,可否不要賺到盡,不要再加重租?總的而言,味道不錯,招呼不差,會再去試試其他食品。…Read More

工作天的下午二時,一羣白領離開後,餐廳只餘下一、兩枱客人。我們二人各點了set lunch: 炆牛肋骨及清湯餃子。好:大而厚切的牛肋骨十分「淋」及入味,與蘿蔔等配料填滿整個鍋,午餐的份量夠男士充飢有餘。熱騰騰的,不但熱到勁出煙,食物在鍋內還在滾,令人垂涎!餃子雖然皮厚但有肉香,配以清湯。相信沒怎樣用味精,因為我沒有吃完味精餐的反應(臉及手會麻痺)。可以好些:不知是否因為是午餐所以「隨便」些吧,餐具是中式白色膠筷子,匙羹是普通西式而不是韓式直身的,風味欠奉。茶壺內的茶,只是微暖。舊店風味,韓國夫婦店主與客人沒甚麼眼神接觸或微笑,店員的服務反而好些。總的而言,好味,可以考慮試晚餐。…Read More

天后寶貴的地方,就是它仍然保持了老街坊地方小店的特色,而且水準一點也不差。泰出色是一間熱鬧的餐廳,鋪位不細,但午餐及晚餐都擠滿客人。好:海南雞飯甚好,雞肉不但香,而且就算是雞胸部分亦十分淋,分量亦大。雞油飯香噴噴的,但出奇地少油。冬瓜清湯夠味但沒有味精,飲完不會口渴。泰式醬小辣及少少酸,與雞是很好的配搭。伴碟的酸菜認真地有紅白蘿蔔、青瓜等,濕潤新鮮,十分開胃。午餐是$55連飲品,實惠又份量豐富,比起要$40一個午餐的茶餐廳,泰出色是一個很好的upgrade選擇。晚餐的價錢不同,但依然物有所值。鮮蝦金邊粉乾身不肥膩,酸甜味不過火。中蝦肥肥胖胖的,雖不是游水鮮蝦,但也可以。如喜歡帶甜的咖喱,就可以試馬沙文咖喱牛腩飯。牛腩十分淋及入味,不會像一些餐廳一味靠鹹。可以好些:招呼就很普通了,餐廳環境但茶餐廳侍應水平,櫃面那疑似揸fit人從沒什麼笑容。蝦醬通菜味道濃及鹹,以這餐廳的水準,應該可以做到香的效果。青咖喱雞就認真麻麻,有雪雞味。總的而言,好好味,價錢合理,去完可以再去又再去。…Read More

無心插柳,星期六中午在中環覓食,想起在萬邦行樓上的喜雙逢,一於試試。沒有先做功課,完全不知道這地方是怎麼樣的。它位於這個人流不多的老商場,靠的是平價,還是走高檔路線?酒樓是老式的,昏暗的燈光照着開始有一點殘舊的裝修,斯文的食客靜靜的交談。晚飯的菜牌列出各種鮑翅菜式,午飯則有點心及小菜。侍應介紹我們二人試當天的孖寶:鮑魚雞粒粥及銀芽海鮮炒麵 ($288)。我們最後決定散叫點心,試多一些不同的食物。好:蝦餃($48)不是精緻的一口餃,而是漲卜卜大大隻的,蝦肉甜美,配合酒樓自家製辣得來清香的xo醬,是很好的組合。中型叉燒包($36)一籠三個,叉燒醬的鹹味與少少甜而軟的包一起吃,很享受。燒腩仔皮脆且香,可是肥肉較多。馬拉糕十分成功,其鬆軟程度,真是其他酒樓少見!煙燻素鵝那清香的煙燻味並沒有叫人失望,如果蔬菜卷的鮮味可以更突出就更加滿足了。這叫我想起在首爾旅遊時的食物,總是帶出原材料的鮮味,到底是那兒的食材新鮮些,還是港菜的醬油太濃?可以更好:甜品試了桂花糕,不太喜歡那香味,有點似咳藥水...總的而言,可能會再去,但不會特別記住要去。…Read More
