Finally get to have a taste of this heavenly superfood x my all time favourite latte, ALL IN 1!!! I have seen all the news and reviews online about it in Australia and it definitely brought a storm to our coffee experience. Now, we have it in HK too 😜It is as simple as it looks like, pick up an avocado, get the seed out and scoop out 2/3 of the avocado meat, smash them but not totally like potato mash, you want to be able to leave a few bites in it. Get your coffee ready, pour the milk (latte art for sure) into the avocado. Place the mashed avocado onto a pretty plate and it will hold your avolatte pretty well!🤩 there you go!!! Avolatte!!!They only serve as dine in as it could be very clumsy to have it to go. Their coffee is quite good and the avocado does give a fresh touch to it. Only slightly though. The latte portion is a lot less comparing in a regular cup. Fresh avocado with coffee , to me it’s a very good idea. Gimmick. Will I try again? I won’t cause now I know how to make it. Its more a fun experience than a everyday crave. It does makes me feel very healthy though😂I would suggest everyone who’s curious at least try for themselves. Tried this new opened ice cream house as they offered buy 1 get 1 free scoops in November as a promotion. What a good strategy, all you have to do is to like their FB/IG page, easy. Headed for the cheesecake flavor, it does taste like cheesecake, but it’s a bit too sweet for my personal taste, can there’s no surprise. It’s just an 👌🏻 ice cream but not 👍🏻 heaven. You all know what I mean😎Oh and the free 1, my friend picked the pistachio, risky as hell in my opinion. I can taste the pistachio thin skin being roasted kind of flavor, it’s quite rich and it’s unusual. However, again it’s too sweet for my friend. Had a meeting near by and was too hungry to look for nice food. So I thought why not give a try! The restaurant wasn't packed as it's a weekday. We got a table right away. We ordered the light set for 2. $288 + 10% service charge, included 2 starter, 2 main & 2 beverage, sounded ok. Out of expectation, the risotto came first!!!! I mean..... where's my starters?!?!?!? So we asked the staff politely about the starters and soon 2 starters arrive, they were 2 bowls of soup. (We didn't order any soup🙈🙈🙈) so again we turn to the waitress and she took back the soup after double checking. Seriously I was already a bit pissed off by their service. It wasn't a busy night and orders were already in a mess...... ☹️Ok finally the starters came ( after main courses😭😭😭) Portion were a bit small like Japanese style as they claim to be. Parma ham was ok but the melon wasn't the right season yet I guess. Whole thing was just alright.....Spanish style garlic prawn! This was good! Smelled nice and tasted nice! Only the prawns were over cooked a bit. It does kind of reminded me of Spanish tapas. The bread was ovaned crip 😉👍🏻good job! The sause is extremely oily so this might not to be everyone. Just the next block to HK central library, this tiny little cafe located right in the middle of the street! There's only a few tables but we were able to get a seat straight away. We ordered flat white, something you don't always find on the menu. If it does show up on the menu, the barista must know their stuff pretty well, personal observation only☝🏻😆I don't know what to say about this flat white. The coffee itself wasn't bad, it's just not that GOOD...👉🏻👈🏻their beans tasted more sour in flavor which I am not too much a fan of. The milk:coffee proportion was quite right but the whole thing wasn't smooth enough to brighten up my day. We wanted a bit of dessert but their cake selection was not attractive to us at all........ dessert option was really limited. We had the half portion waffle with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and fruits. I didn't expect it to be good and it was very normal. The fruit didn't go with the waffle at all. Holiday mood and it's just another day to dive into a cafe. I have been craving for a cup of latte lately 😋😋😋Coffee art is always full with customer. I guess they mostly go for their all day breakfast but I am not a big fan of it. I took the lunch set which includes a salad or match toast, spaghetti as main and a beverage. I picked a salad, prawn zucchini tomato sauce penne and added $18 for a cup of latte. Topped up with a side: pepper smoked beef rice roll, because it sounded interesting 😝The interior looks quite industrial with some kind of installation art I guess. Not bad~ 😉I quite like their big table which is very wide and even you have to share the table with strangers, it makes it quite ok! You can still have some sort of privacy and you won't have listen to the stupid conversation others are having. 🤣🤣🤣👍🏻The food came quite fast.🤔the beef rice roll came but I couldn't see any beef until I had a bite and I can see the thin slices in between the salad......the salad is too much and there's no harmony between all ingredients. 🙁it's basically tasted like salad. $65 lunch set for pasta sounds very reasonable but their portions is rather small. I was surprised that they put sun dry tomato into the sauce which brought a rich flavor to it. This dish wasn't anything spectacular or surprising. Always knew how famous this street treat is in Hong Kong. There's quite a crowd waiting outside for their order. Out of curiosity, I ordered the black sesame flavor. Waited for 15mins, finally my freshly made egg pancake!!! It smelled nice cause it's freshly made. But where is my black sesame?!?😳😳😳I only saw white onesie the batter. The egg pancake had a crispy texture skin but not a nice chewy airy filling. There was no taste of black sesame. I always come back to this store which I think their takoyaki (octopus balls) are up to a good standard with a fair price, $22 for a box of 6. Brushed with mayonnaise, takoyaki sause and wasabi sause on top and shavings of dried bonito. 😋😋😋Each ball is covered with flavor and inside there's diced octopus 🐙 which gives a chewy touch. There wasn't overloaded with wheat flour batter which I sometimes get from other restaurants. Also, these were served hot. Not reheat some overnight leftovers so you will always have to wait for a bit. All worth it though. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻This store also provide other Japanese cuisine but I never had the chance to try anything else because this takoyaki itself can be quite filling already!!! In short, this is a place for big group gathering. I came to pre-visit the cafe on a Sunday lunch time. We were the 1st customers I could tell. Lunch set was pretty affordable, around $60 per set including one drink within $34, you just pay the difference if you pick a higher price drink. Pretty much all of the drinks are $34 upper though....... 😅It is for sure that food is never very good at cafes like this. With low expectations, I had to pick with a small range of main dishes. It was difficult to choose to be honest. 😟 This was penne with bacon and mushroom in cream sause. Um....... the taste was ok. At least they put the effort to top it up with a bit of cheese. Penne wasn't over cooked and everything came together to be fine. The honey green tea was good. Nothing risky at all. Then we had this smoked duck breat with rice in Spanish style. There has been a lot of western food around the area and it's time to explore them! I went pass Neighbor a few times and finally I had the chance to give it a try. It was around 6pm and quite a few tables empty. The open kitchen setting proves to you they only make the burger by order. It took a while for the burger to arrive, around 15mins I guess. Ordered the one with Portobello mushroom, cheese and onion underneath. The display was ok. I added $16 for the potato & sweet potato mixed fries and a can of coke. The fries were still hot! However, there's only 4 sweet potato fries and they looked as if they were over fried. 😔I simply think they can be more generous on the fries. I mean...4...come on! As for the burger, all ingredients tasted fresh. Especially the onion & veg. The bread served hot also. The mushroom was very juicy. However, there wasn't a wonderful harmony in my mouth. Too good to be out on a sunny and cool day! I hate summer and I am always trying keep myself away from the sun, to avoid getting tan skin tone. Today was a perfect day! 😍The name of this cafe caught my attention and I decided to visit straight away! COFFEEHOLIC - what a bold statement !!! It's a tiny cafe but lots of variety of savory food and of course- coffee. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered soup of the day and a latte.
