Really don't understand why this place would last so long. There were less than 10 tables on the weekend at a prime dinner time. Should have taken it as a sign. Overpriced. MSG bomb. Feeling super thirsty after eating there. Grilled food came out cold. Found bone in the sashimi. Not many choices to choose from. You don't get quality food for the price paid. First thing first, the food was good, but we were prepared for a promised semi-buffet to celebrate Christmas. We arrived finding out that there were no buffet, but instead you get to order the starters and desserts as many times as you wish. We would very much have preferred the promised semi-buffet where we could choose and pick our own portions. It is part of the experience to do semi-buffet. You can't promise the customers that there is one, have them prepay and arrive to find that there's no buffet. That's straight false advertisement. Maki-rolls: The sushi rice wasn't good at all. The texture was like rubber. They were stingy with the fillings of the rolls. There weren't much texture or taste to anything else than the rubber-rice. Sushi: Same as the maki. Stingy topping/filling with rubbery and wet rice. Egg/omelette: The omellette was also rubbery. The flavour was alright to be fair. Ordered take away. Everything came as a surprise... The stinky tofu was flat and dry. Like eating chips.The lamb texture and flavour resembles canned food. The single, tiny stick on the photo cost $22.5 HKD. There were 5 tiny pieces of meat on it. I accidentally found the best kebab in town! I was originally looking for kebab in pita bread, but it seems like nowhere has it in HK. I saw photos of "kebab in bread" here and thought it was it, but it was another type of bread, which was still good though. The prices are very reasonable, the meat are all freshly made. Juicy, not those frozen and dry ones. The salad are always crunchy. The sauces are all flavourful and not watery like some other places. The restaurant is very spacious and clean, and the boss/staff is very chill and friendly. This has turned into my go-to-place whenever I want kebab. This place is surprisingly good. The raw materials they use must have been carefully chosen. It shows on the flavours. The coffee was good too. Only things we didn't like were the desserts. This pumpkin soup was so rich and yummy. Not the watered down powder soup. There were real pumpkin bites in it. The steak was thin, but so perfectly done. Medium-rare, and well seared. The type of potato they chose are so sweet and good. The chicken pasta was perfectly done. Al-dente and the sauce isn't overpowering creamy. Cheese + spinach baked cod was so cheesy. OMG! The pig intestines here is just amazing! It tastes so clean yet flavourful. I could taste all the work they put in it. Cleaning all the intestines, marinating, seasoning and frying. SO good! This is a must try, even if you normally don't eat intestines. Trust me! Their fried chicken and most of their stir fries are worth trying too. All skilfully prepared. This dish has a funny name, 螞蟻上樹, directly translated "Ants crawling up a tree". I love coriander, and this was full of it. Flavourful, not too salty or oily. Pretty impressed with the chef here. My friend said this was his favourite Thai restaurant in Hong Kong, so I had to give it a try. It was really good, I must agree. One of the very best thing is that they don't use any MSG, as I am super sensitive to MSG. The assorted grilled meat platter was my favourite. The meat was tender and the sauces were yummy, especially the tamarind one. The Tom-yum soup was also delicious.
