前往 Pancake Colours Café & Bar 的交通十分方便,鄰近尖沙咀地鐵站,由香港乘搭天星小輪至尖沙咀,步行也只需20分鐘,試食會開始之前我順道去參觀K11。這是一間樓上Cafe,餐廳的室內佈置有Fairy Tale的感覺,是近年流行的精品餐廳格局。 至少十種不同款式的吊燈,有如置身燈飾博物館。 當晚出席的人數驟眼看至少三十人,分開兩邊坐,我和大約十個人坐在一起,另一邊大約有二十人,很熱鬧。試食餐單包括九道菜,自選甜品及飲料。 服務生先替大家的自選甜品及飲料落單,這時候時出現少許混亂,因為可供選擇的款式很多。 8:30pm才開始第一道菜,每道菜消耗十五至二十分鐘,十道菜加起來要三個多小時,離開已經是深夜十二時。不得不提及晚餐的配菜,例如粉紅酸薑、Baby Leaves、紅菜頭絲、薄荷汁、松子仁等,有益腸胃,亦令菜式增添生氣,如果沒有這些配菜,完成試食所有菜式後,肚子必定會吃不消。這頓晚餐用了很多餐具,十道菜連水杯及飲料杯,大約三百隻碟、六十隻杯,還有刀、叉和湯匙。 服務生不斷為我們送上食物及回收髒碟子,一定很累,在此不忘說一聲感謝! 最後也想感謝大廚即場分享煮食心得,使我認識到秘密的製作過程。Thanks Open Rice and Pancake Colours Café & Bar for given me a wonderful dining experience!…Read More

彷彿回到七十年代初…大堂有一部要入錢才會動的兒童飛機,微暗的燈光,老爺升降機,舊式的廁所設備,立體龍鳳雕塑,木傢具,木窗框,還有多盞華麗的水晶吊燈,室內環境頗為濶落,想不到2010年的香港,仍有這麼舊的中式酒樓,看樣子比已經停業的龍門酒樓更舊 :) 。來這裡的目的,一為懷舊,二為醫肚,我們一點半才到達,兩點半已經沒有點心供應。 對食物的意見:蒸飯太爛;山竹牛肉是粉紅色的,味道一般;粉果也是一般;叉燒包一籠有兩隻,餡料夠瘦,沒有肥肉;乾炒牛河比較差,幾油膩,牛肉太少,但要讚一讚服務生,他奉上兩碟仔辣椒醬併芥末醬,芥末醬的味道不錯;蝦球伊麵不錯,有少少鹼水味,蝦球夠大隻又彈牙,還有很多草菇和菜心。…Read More

I went to this restaurant for a quick lunch yesterday, I chose this place because when I was a school girl, I used to be here for lunch with my classmates, but I believe this restaurant now is not the same as before.A staff escorted me to a table, and after they took my order, a young man came to sit opposite me. I remembered the young man sat opposite me ordered the Chinese Style Steam Egg, his food arrived earlier than mine.I ordered lunch set D “Baked Spaghetti with Steak & Mushroom”, waiting for more than 10 minutes, my food has arrived, oh my god, the smell is not right, but I didn’t complain, I finished up my food. No vegetable to accompany the spaghetti, the texture of the spaghetti is ok, the sliced mushroom is normal. The worst part is the sauce and the beef, first, the sauce taste burnt and sour :( , I would prefer truly tomato or black pepper taste; second, the steak is just few big pieces of beef fillets, without bone but a lot of tendons, hard to chew. :(There seems to be varieties of dishes available, from set A to set H, but actually not quite balance, too meaty for me. 這天是My Brother's Treat, 我是第一次光顧這間分店,環境很闊落,餐桌之間有足夠的空間,上菜很快。菜肉包新鮮軟熟,椰菜豬肉餡不肥膩,算是健康之選;黑椒牛肚,牛肚炆得夠"林",大大件少少辣,好味!炒粉麵飯加多元廿八元多一碟,平均三十八元一碟,我們叫了欖菜肉碎炒飯,螃蟹炆伊麵,炒飯炒得不錯,很乾但入口不乾,有粒粒芥蘭頭;炆伊麵本來也可以的,見到很多蛋白,但看不見蟹肉!可惜有飛蚊贈慶,很多食店都有這個問題,必要定下防蟲方案,否則,不管廚技多好也徒然!…Read More

My family always go to Chinese restaurant for either breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea.Today, we have been to Kam Moon Lau for afternoon tea, we have ordered 5 dim sum and 1 stir-fried noodles.The shrimp dumpling is really good , it was freshly steamed and we can saw the white smoke rose before our eyes. I joined my parents for morning tea in Lin Heung Kui this morning, this is my 2nd time patronized to this restaurant. I was sitting on 3/F during my last visit, this time I was sitting on 2/F, the decoration is basically the same, have some beautiful bird cages hang around, but of course the bird inside the cage was not real.Each guest will have 2 tea cups, tea leaves of your choice was put into the cup with cap, the waiter pour over boiling water into the cup with cap, let the tea soak for a minute, then strain the tea from the cup with cap into the other cup. I have difficulty in carrying the cup with hot tea, especially when the tea cup and the cap get too hot to touch, tea was poured on the table eventually. So my father taught me how to do it, when I do it twice, I get used to it. The secret is to carry the edge of the cup by your finger tips, and press the cap tight by your first finger tip. To make it easier, you can ask the waiter to give you a teapot instead. The food choices is similar to ordinary Chinese restaurant, I tried their pork liver siu mine, Congee in hot pot, cane sugar steam cake, and also glutinous rice with lotus leave. The pork liver siu mine is over cooked; The Congee is good, with variety of ingredient, served with deep-fried dough stick, the portion size is enough for 2 people sharing;Cane sugar steam cake is tasty, soft and not too sweet;The glutinous rice with louse leave is also good, not too salty, portion size is quite big, good for sharing. …Read More
