We bought a package on Groupon for this restaurant a few months ago and had expected a reasonable meal...To our utter surprise, literally everything-from the service to the food quality-was a disappointment. The table the waitress led us to was in a dark corner, and when we requested to be seated elsewhere, the waitress rudely told us that we would have to pay an extra $20 or so. We settled with what was assigned to us. We then spent ten long minutes waiting for water or tea, which did not come until we asked for it. The food also took quite a while, and when it finally came, we were even more shocked. The soup was extremely salty, and the fried chicken was so hollow and oily that a few of my lunch mates questioned whether actual chicken was even used! Though the xiao long bao's appearance seemed appetizing, the skin was so thick that it absorbed all of the juices and became consequently soggy. Furthermore, the meat was lukewarm and bland. Though we were only halfway through the meal, the same waiter came over and asked us whether we would like tea/coffee. Aren't those beverages supposed to be served at the end of the meal? Following that awkward situation, the next few dishes arrived and added to our chagrin. The duck was small and again, oily. The wrapper used to wrap the duck was cold and damp. My friends and I visited the restaurant in hopes of finding good food. We were moderately disappointed. While the food tasted nice, almost all of them were served way below the appropriate temperature! We ordered the duck set for two to be split between the three of us. It included half a duck and the addition of one more food item at a comparatively lower price than if we had ordered it by itself (in our case, we ordered the 泡飯）Apart from the meal, we also ordered some vegetables and xiao long bao The service was also so-so. It was exceedingly difficult to get the waitress's and waiter's attentions; and when we were finally successful, they were never quite receptive. On the whole, the food quality, with the exception of the food temperature, was reasonably priced and delicious. The vegetable was crafted very well. Alas, it was lukewarm. The xiao long bao was a tad colder than I liked, but it was acceptable. On the whole, it was a decent meal. I made reservations for a table for four, so there really was no wait time. We were a little hesitant to enter the restaurant initially because the building they were located in was being renovated, and thus it was hard to even see the store name. Nonetheless, we made our way in and were immediately welcomed by very helpful waitresses and waiters. The restaurant was a bit small, but it was still very comfortable. The waiters were able to speak to us in both Cantonese and English (we had a friend who spoke English with us), and gave us helpful suggestions as to what we should order. The food quality was excellent: the beef was tender, the skewers were cooked well. The waiters were helpful and agreed to take multiple photos of us for us. I really have no complaints other than that the restaurant itself is in a rather awkward location. Unless you take the bus from somewhere, it is not particularly close to an MTR station Oh well.
