Hm, you may as well freeze fat-free milk
Holy Cow

I was so disappointed, since after reading the reviews I was expecting a satisfactory dessert of froyo. I had original yogurt + peach mochi + 2 mini brownies. Cinnamon cookie crumbs were added in for free and the total came to 33HKD. Hm, costed more than crumbs. The yogurt was a spectacular failure. Its texture was freakishly similar to snow, not smooth and creamy at ALL. You seriously may as well freeze skimmed milk in your fridge, smash it with a hammer, and eat that. Okay that was a slight exaggeration but you get my metaphor. Taste-wise, it left a lot to be desired. I prefer my froyo to be less on the sweet side and more on the tangy side. I felt the "tang" was nonexistent here. The cookie crumbs were horrible, legions away from the ones at Crumbs. These were.. powdery and sandy, without the buttery goodness and cinnamon-y flavorfulness. The mochi were good, nice and chewy and big in size. Brownies were alright and may have matched better with full cream ice cream than yogurt. All in all, the toppings were better than the yogurt. But seeing as the yogurt was so disappointing that isn't saying too much. Though I made some references to Crumbs, I prefer Yo Mama's froyo so yum Needless to say, I will NOT be visiting this place again. …Read More

My FAAAAAAAAAAVE restaurant! (or, one of them xD)
Mochi Cafe

DELICIOUS! OMGGGGGGGGGI cannot rave enough about the udon here. Seriously. For sure, the service isn't impeccable and don't expect a five-star setting, but the FOOD! Udon is chewy, "fresh" almost, and the broth is sooooooooo good. I love having one piece of udon and a bit of soup in my spoon and slurping it in my mouth, where it belongs. When the bowl arrives, it's tumbling and toiling and bubbling and boiling. Definitely hot. It feels like each bowl of udon is crafted with care. I have tried the stone pot pork udon and the stone pot beef udon. I've also tried the stone pot pork udon in spicy soup. They're allllllllll good. The pork knuckle one I think is better than the stone pot pork udon because... well, I still think that the pork pieces are wayyy too fatty. As a broke college kid, 50-60 HKD for a bowl of udon does seem pricey at first. But holy moly is the udon here worth it!Service and decor could be improved, but that's not stopping me from coming here again and again and again and again! Lines are long though, and remember that they're closed on Sundays!PS. I would NOT recommend the snacks =P …Read More

At least once a week!
Dragon King Restaurant

My colleagues always come here for lunch. At least once or twice a week. The atmosphere is not bad and the food is good, I think! Cha siu was really yummy last time. The pork was juicy and the glaze wasn't overpowering. Tenderness. Their cheapest fried rice, I forget the specific name, is amazingly good. Remember to ask for "little oil" though.Spicy beancurd on hot plate is delicious. Must try.Clay stone pot with mixed vegetables and vermicelli in broth is also tasty. The dried shrimp add flavor without overpowering, and my personal favorite are the mushrooms. they are to DIE for! There is a slightly buttery taste to them - I bet they are stir fried first and then added to the broth or something. The flavor is sheer delight.Another one of my faves is the ma lai go - Chinese steamed spongecake. I would totally walk here just for this!A con is the uhh steamed chicken pieces with a slightly spicy sauce. The sauce itself is delicious, but the chicken... not so fresh.Unsure about the price, boss always pays.Hope this helps!…Read More
