參加飯局通常都會有一個主題,大多是以季節、食材、地區或者新菜式等為題材,但以一款醬料作主題的生日晚宴,印象中還是第一次,實在有趣。當晚有一半菜式都用了XO醬,而這裡出品的XO醬的瑤柱份量很多,所以味道更鮮香。XO醬涼拌大豆芽($68)。有點像韓式麻油拌大豆芽,但這次換上了XO醬,多了一份鹹香,是挺開胃的一道涼菜。XO醬茶樹菇爆海參條($388)。海參條口感爽脆,加入XO醬去爆炒,令原本無味的海參吃起來更惹味,加上健康有益的茶樹菇與彩椒,好看又香口。XO醬涼瓜鱔球($298)。自己不吃涼瓜,所以就吃了一件鱔。鱔球很肥美,充滿魚脂香,沒有太多的小骨,吃著也不覺得沾有苦味,心想應該要多得那些香濃的XO醬吧。XO醬爆南瓜三鮮($188)。三鮮即是鮮魷魚、大蝦與帶子。因為有點飽,只試了肉厚而帶鮮味的帶子,至於加入南瓜去伴炒三鮮是不錯的主意,但南瓜略嫌不太夠腍,吃起來有點爽,而且南瓜的甜味弱了一點。XO醬牛崧米型意大利粉($168)。在另一家酒店的中菜廳嚐過炒米型意粉,吃罷印象很深,因為米型意大利粉看似米飯,但口感煙靭有咬口,而未吃過的食友們紛紛表示讚賞,結果成為當晚最受歡迎的菜式。麵醬子薑蒸魚咀

麵醬子薑蒸魚咀($188)。自己不才不太懂得吃魚咀,但很喜歡麵醬,所以也嚐了一小塊。魚咀的肉不多,但炆煮得很入味,很適合伴飯吃。

豉蒜福州麵線蟹($388)。份量非常足的巨型蟹,上檯時食友們都不禁嘩嘩叫。墊在肉蟹下面的的福州麵線幼身彈牙,且麵線融合了蟹肉的鮮味和豉蒜的惹味,十分吸引。

大澳蝦醬蒸肉眼根($118)。家裡偶然也會做這道菜,但只是用豬肉或豬頸肉,現在用上口感帶嚼勁的豬肩胛肉,味道更好,也是繼麵醬子薑蒸魚咀後另一個很送飯的菜式。

砵仔雞蛋焗魚腸($188)。一向都覺魚腸很容易腥,不怎麼愛吃,不過這個魚腸實在焗得夠金黃又香,所以淺嚐了一點,雖然對自己來說還是有丁點腥味,但雞蛋的部份實在焗得不錯。

原籠金蒜糯米蒸斑球($288)。糯米蒸蟹就吃得多,用斑球去蒸就較少,但其實與蒸蟹同樣,都是把海鮮本身的鮮味,在蒸的過程之中滲進糯米飯裡,所以糯米飯就是精華,多飽也吃得下。

最後不單有甜品、果盤、奶皇春卷,還有食友的愛心生果與生日蛋糕,今晚實在是一頓非常飽足又滿意的XO醬宴。
