What this place served was Japanese food. And the menu was extensive! It had everything under the sun (minus sushi!). Menu is in Chinese with partial English. Partial English in that there are some parts that are written only in Chinese. Things like "choose your ramen base", but the bases are in Chinese only. But other than that, there are also photos of all the food and what you should expect.  There is also no 10% service charge and you pay on your way out.

Boyfriend, of course, wanted something fried. So, we tempura sweet potato (5 pieces for $12) and a curry croquett e ($10). These were ok and not soaking in oil as sometimes I fear that when ordering anything fried. The croquette was pretty good.

I ordered the small ramen with roll cake set ($52). It also came with a drink and was the only one of the sets that included a drink.  The soup I chose was pork bone and it just tasted MSG. It stated it was a small ramen but it was a decent size.

The noodles were ok. There was also a slice of char siu that was a bit flavorless.

This came with a matcha roll cake. Moist with a good matcha tasting cream. It was pretty delicious.

Boyfriend had the laver with chicken wing and bacon roll skewers bento ($50). The chickens were great. A nice teriyaki sauce was glazed on top. The bacon was rolled over sausages and tasted sweet as well.

Underneath, we found a tempura chikuwa. This was a bit soggy.

This set came with miso soup. Not much to say about it. There wasn't anything spectacular about it but at least it wasn't watered down miso.

Overall, the portion sizes were quite good. In fact, a bit larger than we expected and rolled out of there very full. Taste was ok. Prices were fairly inexpensive. Would probably be back if in the area.
