ABC Kitchen is where I go when I want a "keeping it real" meal. The food is great but at less than half of restaurant prices. I guess it's because we aren't having to subsidize the restaurant's rent, it being a food stall stowed away in a wet market in Sheung Wan.My favourites there are the crab soufflé to start, and I always order their suckling pig for a main. These dishes are executed very well here, especially for their prices! The crab soufflé is generous with succulent crab meat and light

The crab soufflé is generous with succulent crab meat and light as air despite being full of briny seafood flavors.
The suckling pig rivals that of many Spanish restaurants. The meat falls off the bone, the skin crunchy with just the right amount of fat. It comes with a small mound of sweet potato and sauerkraut, which accentuates the umami of the meat perfectly.
Desserts change on the menu and when I was there I had the sesame soufflé. They do soufflés very well here! This was replete with sweet, nutty sesame in every melt in your mouth spoonful!
Dining at ABC in itself is a different experience - there is no need to dress up, there are no pretenses and you could mix up your meal with Beijing dumplings or Indian curries from the neighboring stalls if you like. Almost like eating in Singapore - inclusive, friendly, an interesting mish mash of cultures and cuisines
