Went on a Saturday afternoon for late lunch. Great to be seated outside at spacious table without a wait. While we were reading the menu a staff plonked down a bread basket without a word. Been looking forward to the walnut muffin in the basket which was still good as remembered- warm with a slightly crunchy top. The other rolls were cold and average.
Ordered the 1/2 kg mussels in white wine sauce and a Deli Rueben sandwich. Mussels were a bit over cooked and rubbery. The sauce was nice and good for dunking with the toasted rye batons that came with the dish. The batons were buttery so just depends if you like them that way. Personally I found it a bit greasy. There was garlic aioli that came with it as well which I didn’t use.
The Reuben came with a large portion of potato chips make of real potatoes. They were not too crispy and very dry. Probably double dead. The sandwich was nicely toasted on both sides. Not sure if we left it for too long but the bottom bread was soggy. It was loaded with pastrami and the cheese wasn’t overpowering but unfortunately the meat was too dry.
What I appreciate was their good service. All staff were pleasant and friendly and the manager was nice and interactive with the customers. A member from the famous boy band Mirror happened to be nearby during our meal and the manager told her staff about it in case they were a fan which I through was very nice. I might come back for nachos or other snacks next time but not sure about another meal there.
