We decided to discover something new so we chose a random Japanese restaurant after checking openrice.These were what we ordered:- Oyster x 1; fresh- Tsubu gai (shell fish - conch) x 1/2 (sliced): very interesting, tasted very like geoduck 象拔蚌;- Hotate (Scallop) x 2 - fresh;- Hamachi x 2 - can't remember the taste;- Oo Toro: (Big toro) x2 pieces - super oily. (I'm no sashimi connoisseur);- Engawa (literally left mouth fish) x 2 pieces: oily, tasty and quite chewy;- Ika: (squid) x 1: a bit fancy

We decided to discover something new so we chose a random Japanese restaurant after checking openrice.

These were what we ordered:

- Oyster x 1; fresh
- Tsubu gai (shell fish - conch) x 1/2 (sliced): very interesting, tasted very like geoduck 象拔蚌;
- Hotate (Scallop) x 2 - fresh;
- Hamachi x 2 - can't remember the taste;
- Oo Toro: (Big toro) x2 pieces - super oily. (I'm no sashimi connoisseur);
- Engawa (literally left mouth fish) x 2 pieces: oily, tasty and quite chewy;
- Ika: (squid) x 1: a bit fancy looking with a plum and sesame on top (it looked exactly like a "Maru no Uchi bento"), it tasted OK;
- Bafun Uni (literally horse droppings uni) x 1 piece: very strong uni taste and fresh;
- Natto Tuna: The biggest natto I've ever seen. The tuna didn't have much taste though;
- Tako wasabi: good with sochu;

- Grilled tuna head x 3 pieces: this took a while but definitely worth the wait. Crispy, meaty and the timing is good;
- Assorted Tempura: the prawns were pretty fresh and the batter is good;
- A bottle of sake (出羽櫻,大吟釀 -$300 per bottle) and two glasses of Sochu ($)

Like many restaurants in the same building, the place is pretty crowded and there isn't much space between tables or between customers at the sashimi counter. I find the lighting a bit hard on the eyes. I'd strongly recommend booking beforehand (as It's pretty busy even at around 9:30p.m.)

Despite the price and the setting, I gave this restaurant "Good" because of the very attentive service and the quality of the sashimi. The cooked food were also very good. The price, however, is a bit excessive (almost double the price of KENJO). One could get similar quality at reduced price in many other well established Japanese restaurants in TST.
