Camper's is an interesting concept restaurant, even more interesting that it is "Japanese". The food often is rather tasty with a wholesome home style taste about it and often served with some salad. The service as with most Hong Kong eateries is rather average though. They have a policy which I feel is somewhat deceptive, is that you are not only forced to purchase a minimum spend, you additionally have to purchase a drink (whether you want one or not) so it is therefore added to the total price. Rather than the price of a drink built into the price of "set meals" here they add it on and you have no choice about this. The other drawback with this place is inconsistentcy with their food. Sometimes I have found the food absolutely drowned with a sweet ginger flavour, totally overpowering the taste of the meal. The last time I went there the serving size was about half of what is usually normal. When I pointed this out to the staff, rather than addressing the problem she simply suggested I order more food, which I felt was rather penny pinching, and a poor attitude towards their customers.
