I have been hesitating to write this review because first of all, I don't normally take effort to write review, and more importantly, from a more selfish angle, I always want to keep the best to myself. The last thing I want is a good restaurant go famous and have too many customers that it usually lose its passion and go down the route of overcharging customers.

Emporio Antico is definitely a restaurant that I want to hide from all the publicity. Selfishly, I don't want it to gain any Michelin star, media write up, because I simply like the way it is now - its quality, its passion, its attention to details, its choice of menu and its price! But I do want to give my comments to show my appreciation to the restaurant. So here it goes.

Back to the food and the experience. I came here with a group of friends on Valentine's Day. Typically restaurants would charge heaps of money for a valentine dinner, this restaurant keeps its usual price of $980 for a set dinner. That includes a generous caviar dish, truffle risotto and crayfish. Very reasonable considering the food they offer and the service and ambiance.

All dishes have been very nicely prepared. The photos I took didn't do its justice. They look and taste much better than it appears in this photo. I particularly like the caviar dish, pigeon (couldn't think of anywhere making better pigeon), and the scallop dish (very refreshing). If I were to pick on it I would say crayfish normally don't have as good taste as red prawn. However I admit this is a rather unfair and biased comment as I just had a really nice mediterranean red prawn meal the day before. It's basically impossible for the crayfish to beat it.

So much for now. I really wish the restaurant can keep up with its passion and quality of food. I look forward to coming to this Restaurnt again!
