This dessert shop was running some promo recently, all you can eat desserts for $38 from 12pm to 7pm. Since we were going on a Sunday noon and a gut feeling that it might be crowded, we reached at 1150pm. To our surprise, there were not much people queuing outside the shop. Once everyone was seated, the waitress will begin to teach us on how to order. There was a time limit of 45min for every customers. For first round of ordering, everyone can only order 2 desserts at one time. If one's needs to order smoothies, you must do so during the 1st round.After you have finished the first 2 desserts, only then you were allowed to order additional.
Chocolate lava cake was passable at best. When i pierced open the cake, the lava was still thick and not flowing. Maybe it was not ovened for too long and the cake was still abit hard.
Mango smoothies with vanilla ice cream was a little too sweet for my liking. I guessed they used more mango syrup to blend rather than the real mango meat.
Taro ball with red bean soup was again so-so. I had high expectations of this dessert since i last visited Jiufen in Taipei. Taro ball was big and chewy, but the soup was quite bland in the sense that it does not have much red bean taste. Luckily this was a buffet and considering the price paid, it was still ok for a try.
