I had a cooking class close by and my coworker and I had only a half hour to eat before it started. So, we just decided to eat at CitySuper's Cooked Deli as it was fast and we could find a table.

After a bit of looking around, I decided to choose this place that served Japanese set meals like tonkatsu, etc. I chose the grilled salmon set ($58) and for an added $16 I could get an appetizer. I chose the crabmeat nuggets.

CitySuper's Cooked Deli is a different in APM. You order at the various counters, then you pay at the designated cashier. They give you a pager to wait for your meal. When it's done, the pager will ring and you pick it up at another counter that is for food pick up only. It's all very canteen-like.

I waited maybe 10 minutes for my meal to be made.

Grilled Salmon Set ($58). My grilled salmon set included a big bowl of rice, two pieces of grilled salmon, a side of salad, miso soup, eggplant appetizer and green tea.

The miso soup was as expected. Instant stuff and watery.

Marinated eggplant was ok though a bit bland.

I usually have low expectations for food court meals but this grilled salmon was pretty horrible. The salmon was not only bland but it was so over cooked, it was like eating cardboard. The salad greens were limp. I really couldn't finish it.

Crabmeat Nuggets ($16). For an added $16, I could choose an appetizer. So, I chose crabmeat nuggets. These were pretty bad. It didn't taste like crabmeat. I was also bland and tasted mostly like flour. The texture was soggy.

If we weren't in a hurry to get to our cooking class, I really wouldn't have chosen to eat here. But now that I have, I really won't be choosing this place again.
