I bought a Groupon deal where you paid $138 instead of $298 for all you can eat shabu shabu for 90 miniutes.

The restaurant is located in Ladies Market in a totally new building I had never noticed before. It seemed everyone waiting for a table was holding a Groupon voucher!

The layout of the restaurant is .... well ... interesting. At least for two people. As I was there with boyfriend, they sat us at one of the two people tables which was a bit annoying. As you can see from the photo, the table faced the wall and we sat side by side. This made it annoying for getting food and drinks as one person had to slide out to make way for the other person to get out. This was also inconvenient for servers to clear plates as they couldn't get to them and had us pass the plates to them. Design wise, this was all things fail.

The buffet area included dessert of various kinds along with a chocolate fountain.

Other items for shabu shabu other than the beef we ordered was available on the buffet area. It had various balls and vegetables but oddly, it didn't have basics like tofu and enoki mushrooms. I've never been to a all you can eat shabu shabu that didn't have at least tofu. They also had a lot of different sauces but I can tell you ... stick with only soysauce. They had three different sesame sauces and all of them tasted like more like the sesame sauce you use for salad dressing than for shabu shabu. I tried the ponzu sauce as well and it tasted like vinegar was added to soysauce. All you can drink drinks are also available including beer.

This was interesting. A yakitori section. There was heater to heat up the yakitori for you. We tried all three. Tasted like the stuff you buy in the frozen food section of your local grocery store.

The beef was fairly decent quality. We ordered the chuck along with the regular. The chuck was pretty decent but they give you three slices each time you ask for more.

We also had chicken and pork. The pork was pretty good along with the chicken. This was surprising as most places the serve chicken are usually pretty tough. This was moist even after boiling away for quite a while.

Random items we tried from the buffet table that you can skip. Deep fried calamari. Soggy, cold and pretty much disgusting.

Sushi was also served here. There is a sushi table where they will slice whatever sushi they have available upon request. Sushi was ok and fresh enough. The egg was not that great.

We shared a bunch of desserts which were pretty average except for the sesame mousse which was pretty good. Ice cream was so frozen, it was no longer creamy.

Service was ok. The meat was pretty good. Though the sides are not so good with most you can skip. There also wasn't much variety. I was given coupons for next time but yeah ... I won't return.
