Located in the middle of "Ladies Street", this casual dim sum place isn't the easiest to find, but great value if you're looking for a quick bite to eat.

We came here around 7pm on a Saturday evening and grabbed one of the last tables. By the time we finished there was a crowd waiting outside.

Upon first entering, the decor and layout would appear more appropriate for a wonton noodle house. But when you spot the waiters bringing out the steaming baskets of dim sum, you know you're in the right place. They offer you 3 kinds of tea, 2 Chinese teas and a floral tea. The tables are small so no tea pots. Each person gets to choose what tea they want.

The dim sum is cheap, ranging from HKD 20-40 and including some high-end dim sum like abalone dumplings. I recommend sticking to the standard ones, especially the steamed items. The har gau (shrimp dumplings) were delicate, with good-sized shrimp filling. They have a "different" cheung fan which was different, although not spectacular. Basically, all the dim sum we ordered was fine. We also ordered a steamed rice, which was quite a large portion and decently done.

Service is quick, efficient and attentive, with your tea cup continuously refilled and additional orders quickly added. The bill came to around 50 per person, which is a real steal. However, this isn't a place to linger, as it can get a bit loud. They don't give you any pressure to leave, but you really should have some decency if there are a lot of people waiting.
