The central character of this drink is fourfold:
1) Rich in Milk flavour and colour; quite often this brings you a silky finish
2)  Perfection in the tea base that gives you the depth and body of the drink, while the bitterness is balanced by the milk (artificial milk powder/fresh milk)
3) Quite sweet!! So it is always safe to order half sugar (50%) or less sugar (70%) in most shops. Generally speaking, the sugar content/proportion of different shops is similar, therefore it is wise to follow this less sugar tip!
4) You can add compliments to the milk tea, for example, the Pearls (Zhen Zhu 珍珠) or Grass jelly (Xian Cao 仙草)  , which gives texture and extra sweetness to the drinks. People often opt for the first one for its chewy texture, or in Taiwanese idiomatic saying, very 'QQ' meaning very elastic and sightly chewy.
Having the above in mind, it is interesting and fair to note that the Taiwanese milk tea is actually customized to the individual need--how much sugar and ice added, in addition to the compliment choice. So if you find the drink too sweet; order less sugar next time to give the shop another shot! More importantly, it is to have a taste of their tea to see if you like it.

Eventually, after my first visit to this shop, namely Shang Cha (賞茶), I am satisfied with their overall quality, which is so far the best, if not the second, I've had in town. As you know, there're so many high quality Taiwanese milk tea shop in town, but this one is really worth my recommendation and everyone to have a go.

This is the first day of their opening. You'll see the simple, clean design of the shop. Details of their concept is written on their stand with the illustration of the story of Shen Nong (a famous Chinese medic). I agree with them that the shop has carefully chosen their ingredients to make the best match of tea and proportion.

Happily, since this is the opening, if you buy two cups, you will have a discount price of $7 for the second one--only applicable to the designated choices, but the signature bubble milk tea is included. Till the seventh day, you will have different discount prices, check out in the following flyer.

So, I ordered two drinks and took home to share with my family. The smart tip is to remove the ice or ask for less ice, then put it in the fridge when back home. As such, this will retain the flavour of the milk tea and avoid the milk and tea (water) separate, resulting in some unappetizing  solids appear on top of the drink.

As you can see on the menu, there are eight seven sessions--seven kinds of drinks and one session for 6 compliment choices at the bottom.  Since I am a Oolong tea lover and tried in the other shop which I find it tasty, so I ordered one Oolong milk tea, no ice, less sugar  ($19) and one Deluxe Pearl Milk Tea, less ice, half sugar ($23---->$7). The waitress kindly reminded me to save the receipt--If you purchase a sum of $150, you can become a VIP of the shop. Haha, I will become a VIP soon

While it takes some time to wait for the drink (about 5 people before me), I go to the stand station for waiting my drink! I love the idea that the shop provides a stand space for customers to wait and put down their drink to enjoy leisurely! Although the Taiwanese Bubble Milk Tea is designed to be drunk on the street, it is actually quite relaxed to drink and surf the net. Not to mention, there are many plugs here......you can recharge your phones while waiting!! Brilliant idea isn't it!!

Indeed, it took me less than three minute to get my drinks. Warmly, there are two kinds of straws: a thick one for drinking the bubble milk tea; the thin one for drinking normal tea. Eventually, I decided to drink one first, while the other took home for tonight. The Oolong flavour actually can be smelt if you put your head closely enough to the plastic lid. It's very fragrant that mild sweetness slips over your tongue, and there is any bitterness at al, unlike other shops! And the light milk tea is an indicator that the shop mainly used the fresh milk, which is more healthy and much less heavy! I like their Oolong tea very much. Highly recommended for Oolongtea lover!

I also tried some with my family for the Deluxe Bubble Milk Tea. The taste of this brand of tea is more traditional with kind of Earl Grey body in it. The pearls are not too sweet but you can feel the slight sweetness coming out as you took a bit; and they were cooked perfectly, very QQ!! Both my family and I loved it. Rarely, I faced the question of recommending which one more...  Well, honestly, both tasted good and I can finish two at the same time
