Had an extremely bad experience here. There were 4 of us dining, two of us wanted to order the table seating omakase, and two wanted to order a la carte due to dietary restrictions. The table seating omakase menu specified that there must be a minimum order of 2 (which we met). The chef flatly refused to serve two omakase menus, insisting that all 4 must have the same menu. There was no mention of this anywhere. Despite trying to talk to the chef to explain our friends’ dietary restrictions

Despite trying to talk to the chef to explain our friends’ dietary restrictions, trying to reason or ask him for alternatives, he simply refused to engage with us and basically shrugged us off.

Not sure whether this is unacceptable in Japanese culture but it’s just plain rude. The worst thing is I felt that he refused to speak to us because we were women. My husband comes here regularly and is not treated like that. Unacceptable!
