Here’s what we had.
Edamame as appetiser.
Sashimi platter featuring: lobster, briny Canadian 象拔蚌, sweet Hokkaido scallops, buttery Chilean seabass, thinly sliced tuna, and plump Miyagi oysters marinated in sake.

Steamed egg with lobster essence topped with crab meat. Took one spoonful of the egg, which had a strange vinegary taste. Asked server whether it was supposed to taste like that. Server replied no, and explained that overnight egg paste was used; maybe he should remake with fresh eggs. Speechless! Overwhelmed with food poisoning concerns to answer PickyEater’s queries as to how much a Japanese egg cost.

Housemade Squid and shrimp balls. Very bouncy, definitely a redeeming feature of the meal.

Local chicken cooked with lobster oil. Loved it, very fragrant.

Veggies: 沙葛, okra, baby corn and enoki mushroom

Server removed the steam tray to reveal rice porridge with crab. Unfortunately no chopped Spring onion or beaten egg was available to help rid the fishy taste.

Dessert: choice of strawberry or Earl Grey IceCream cake.
In summary: despite several redeeming dishes, I will not recommend anyone to dine at an eatery serving overnight egg paste that has gone bad.
