無獨有偶,這晚與 Tom Aiken dinner 一樣以鯖魚作為第一道菜,不過這 Spanish Mackerel 既非全熟也非火灸刺身吃法,而是以清酒醃至香甜入味,再煮到七成熟。這樣魚的腥味全去,而肉質仍然嫩滑,配上柚子忌廉、爽脆海葡萄及海苔粉,效果鮮香又嫩甜!

接著是的 Foie Gras Torchon,香馥滑溜的特厚鵝肝醬透出令人無法抗拒的邪惡魅力,而同上除了味道香甜脆口的蜂巢,還有能提高新陳代謝、降膽固醇及好處良多的蜂花粉,消退了鵝肝的惡勢力之餘,也救贖了大家的心靈:放心盡情吃吧!

開始主菜,首先是 Dorade Amandine,鯛魚是也。為了健康,最近早餐開始吃麥皮,但實在一點不好吃... 但大廚將之煎脆並配上外脆內嫩的鯛魚,即成可口佳餚;再加上野菌、珍珠麵、烤杏仁,以及又香又濃的牛油啡醬,組合非常美妙,又是清光零難度!

菜式驚喜浪接浪,接著這 Rangers Valley "Black Market" Beef Rib Cap Steak 更加傾到眾生:我點了店方建議的 medium rare,炭烤牛肋嫣紅嫵媚,外香內柔嫩、肉味極濃超精彩!這原本是 Mr & Mrs Fox 的招牌菜之一,現在 The Continental 也能吃到,實是牛魔之福。

除了牛肋精彩萬分,配菜以新鮮爽口西蘭花配上藍芝士也是滿有火花的配搭!而無是牛還是菜的部分,吃時蘸上甜甜的砵酒醬,都可令滋味再度提昇。

最後甜品是貌如蓮花的 Bombe Alaska,也即葡語中的火焰焗雪山。很喜歡中間清香柔滑雲呢拿雪糕,與越南風味咖啡雪糕/蛋糕層交融的曼妙,周邊同上的脆榛子,更加美味。美中不足,是外層的忌廉稍為太甜~

最後,店內 Kid's Menu 也非常吸引;吃完這頓,除了早前到訪、小孩免費吃喝的 Plat du Jour,也非常期待帶小兄妹再訪這裡,品嚐一下 Sunday Brunch 啊~
