The wait for the dessert was short as the waiters worked briskly in the crowded dessert place. It was icing cold and the two scoops of black sticky rice was almost immersed in the sweet coconut sauce, which was snow white in colour, forming a very sharp contrast on appearance. However their tastes went very well together as, while the rice was starchy, sticky and mushy at some points, the coconut milk was pretty thick in texture and could be well absorbed and 'trapped' in the rice grains, so that you could easily taste both in one small bite. The mango was shockingly bright yellowish in colour and could be easily cut open with the end of a spoon. Soft, it was as sweet as hell and tasted oh-so-good with the sticky rice and coconut milk. I finished the whole thing within 5 minutes, feeling so satisfied with all the starchy rice in my stomach.
The bowl cost $27 and the portion was not big, but i thought it was worth the pay. No wonder Moon Kees are always so full with customers coming for its famous desserts with mangos. :)
