Really disappointed at my experience at Sakaki. I was hyped up by all the foodie posts I saw on IG and I have also checked the reviews on OR. I was hyped up by all the foodie posts I saw on IG and I have also checked the reviews on OR. Was really expecting this meal since everything looked great.

We were there for lunch and had the $580 set. It started out with salad > sashimi plate > sushi > tempura > yakimono > entree > sweet. The menu sure looked very 豐富!

Salad: they were pretty generous when it came to the portion for little white fishes and dressing. The white fishes brought out the umami of the ocean!

Sashimi plate: to be fair, the execution on plating was actually not that bad. Unfortunately, there’s 0 wow factor on the fishes

Sushi: sushi rice lacked the vinegar flavor. again, nothing memorable. Could easily have gotten better sushi from senryo

Tempura: this was when everything really went downhill… my shrimp tempura was CHEWYYYYYYYYYY! Seriously, I have had better shrimp tempura from a pack I bought from the supermarket.

Yakimono: I was speechless when they served chicken wing… don’t get me wrong, I love wings

Entree: sukiyaki beef.. At this point, I’m not sure if theres much left to comment. At least they provided an egg yolk as a dipping sauce! I appreciate their effort on this!

Overall, my impression of them was PRETENTIOUS and it does NOT worth the time + $.
