Wanted to try the desserts made by the Japanese person here. After much deliberation as there's so many choices in the fridge, I decided to eat the more Prestigious dessert on offer - the 和三盆 Sugar Pudding, which was more costly and served in a pottery like cup rather than the plastic ones. This is actually made using the most traditional Kyoto style 'hand-grinded' sugar, an expensive ingredient with a long complicated process and almost all 京都和菓子 are made from. (Its also used for serving
The Pudding tasted mainly of Eggy custards and carried a fresh Raw Sugar like taste, infused with Vanilla Beans. It was topped with some colourful 和菓子. Set a bit too harder than I liked for a Japanese pudding.
Most of the puddings offered here are however a bit creasy at the top - like an old woman with 搊皮 skin and also had cracks at the edges. Advice to the Owner: its not professional enough to charge such outrageously optimistic prices unless its perfectly executed. Put it into the 'cup' and then the fridge too early and it will shrink too fast and crack. High '3' to Mid '4'
