To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 筲箕灣東大街一向是眾所周知的美食街,魚蛋粉、車仔麵、雞蛋仔、茶餐廳、粥麵小菜、火鍋等地道美食,甚至拉麵、餃子、串燒,每日都有不少人專程駕車前來品嘗。在舊樓林立的社區,一向以街坊小店為主導;最近學校旁邊多了一幢簇新的服務式住宅,地面剛開了一家cafe小店,非常搶眼。店子布置以木和藤為主,餐桌、門柄、牆身都以芝麻、桂皮等裝飾,除了面向大街的吧枱,靠牆一邊更設計成梯級,讓人攬着軟墊隨意倚坐,感覺非常relax!除了咖啡,還提供沙律、麵包、三文治、雪糕等輕食,亦備有餐酒、手工啤酒及有機花茶。不過沙律每日只有一兩款,選擇較少。為切合主題,麵包卷同樣以芝麻及玉桂為餡料,面層更加上奶茶及焦糖糖霜,芳香鬆軟。Cafe為表示對本地品牌支持,選用「門神」手工啤酒,包括雷公啤酒、孫悟空紅啤及嫦娥巧克力黑啤三款,不同濃淡口味任君品嘗。雪糕全用上無添加牛奶的「Happy Cow」,即使對牛奶敏感的人士也可享用,非常細心!黑白芝麻雪糕是特地為店子造的獨有口味,質感較raw,沒一般雪糕軟滑,芝麻味可以再濃一點。
