上一次去【FRITES Belgium on Tap】已經是一年多前,一直念念不忘那鍋美味的青口及香港別家餐廳找不到的比利時特色啤酒,只是為了堅持要去未試過的餐廳開餐,才沒有再度光顧。這日因工作關係,在《太古坊》逗留至將近七點,又想起【FRITES Belgium on Tap】鰂漁涌分店就在附近,一於訂位去回味一下。之前以為餐廳位於食肆集中地糖廠街,原來在《太古坊》邊緣、接壤太古城的華蘭路。位置已經唔太理想,還要隱身在華蘭路尾的商業大廈內,如果唔喺附近工作或居住、又或者刻意上網搜尋,根本不會知道這裏有一間既出色、氣氛又好的餐廳。走入辦公大樓地下大堂,映入眼簾的就是一個柚木色小吧枱,同時又作為分隔大堂及餐廳的小屏風。從這裏已經可以窺看到餐廳的裝修風格與其他分店保持統一,設計仿照 1920年代的傳統比利時啤酒屋:超高樓底、耐磨古樸的木材枱櫈、完全開放式的空間,唯獨欠缺了彩繪玻璃外窗。另一方面又揉合了摩登設計,再配合寛敞的空間、軟墊座椅等,成功打造了一個既古樸、又舒適的啤酒屋環境。先説説餐廳名字,Frites 是法文,解作薯條;On tap 代表生啤,源自幾百年前歐洲各國的啤酒屋,都是在釀
